I sometimes like voting on polls. just random polls not very specific. not talking about politics, just voting stuff.

How do people feel about voting in general?

If there were ever a system set in place where your vote was looked at in consideration towards a result I could be interested

    Alas

only when there's at least one poll option that has absolutely nothing to do with the question being asked.

yes, but i'd rather be voting directly on issues.
most of us can read just as well as our elected representatives, and the staff people they hire to read for them.
an issue can be parsed and understood, a human person cannot.
and what's with every time i sign a petition, someone wants me to send them money.
i'm an old fart on a very limited pension.

there are a lot of other things i could say about this.
the fewer people vote, the more each vote counts.
this is usually not a good thing.

how much difference who we choose can make, is limited.
this would be a good thing, if they weren't quite so vulnerable to the "advice" of established economic feudal interests.

the result is what we can expect from electing representatives is limited,
but what we can expect for not voting is worse and worser.
