Some people go out of thier way to kill bugs. Why is that? Do they consider it sport? I am not friends with bug murderers.

If they're in the house I will generally kill them if I see them, since I don't really want spiders crawling on me while I sleep.

Of course. I kill spiders and ants as a self defense. But i am more talking about people that kill bugs for fun or no good reason.

...people have an instinctual response to dislike insects and snakes (because some are poisonous). The natural response is to kill them on sight.

Only mosquitoes. I generally try to just get rid of the bugs that annoy me by capturing them and getting them out of the house.
We got a scorpion in the bathroom once. I had to kill it. Made me sad.

I have no mercy for mosquitoes though. Fuck those bitches.

    I'm with Glen on this.

But mosquitoes and roaches are not on my warm and fuzzy list.

Did you know that crabs are also arthropods?

Bugs are cool, when I see them outside (where they belong). :)

I put them outside unless theyre too creepy to get close, then I just step on them or throw a book at them.

I dont kill bugs outside at all. Except fire ants. Fuck those creatures

I usually just relocate them, if possible. Why kill them? They were here before me, and probably do much less damage.

It is easier to kill a fly than to try to catch it and release outside. But I only smash/electrocute the ones that I know would bite me later if I did nothing. Happily in my own place there's almost no flies all year round!

Not true with stinkbugs...they do a lot of damage and nothing will eat them. They are a horrible menace here and the smell is nauseating.

in fact go out of my way to put them back outside including spiders and scary bugs if they are in the house. Cannot bring myself to kill anything...not even a bug.

Yes....as they are in the house now and were all winter...i cannot bear to kill them. Stan does that, though, and I am always sad about it...:( Yesterday I pouted when he was going to squish one, and he put it outside.....as he saw my face.
I know these things can get to be too much sometimes....and pest tech will have to be called in.....but the loners here and there....leave them alone.
