Just to be shutting up all the stupid trolls who tell the likes of us to get jobs, lets see how many hippies actually DO have jobs!

I have a job, been at this one for over a year.. and that saying something since I take care of elderly people at home (theirs) who are near end of life or are unable to care for themselves. I am also a huge stoner.. among other things.. hehe.. but yeah, i blaze at work, and take care of old lady, and get paid really well.. I've been working since I was 18, and have taken care of old people a few times, and an office manager.. I love working.. and I love the money even more cause it allows me to have nice things, including nice smokeage, have fun with my friends, and spoil my five dogs.

I voted no 'cause I've not had an "official" job since I was 18. I probably hold some kind of record for the least amount of taxes ever paid out by an individual...

Perhaps you should have added a catagory for HARD WORKIN', under the table sorts...

Yes I have a job. I own an organic food manufacturing company, and I work my butt off , but I don't go around telling other people they have to work.
    Peace

I'd absolutely love to have one. However, due to physical and mental illness, I am unable to work anymore. My best days were the days I used to work. Earning money, socializing, making friends, it was all so validating. Now I sit here at home and wish I could go out again.

Those who stereotype us as jobless, lazy hippies only show a lack of education in who we really are. I may be a hippy, but I'd love to work if I physically could.

Did you go to college for that? Because I wouldn't mind taking care of old people but I think you have to be a CNA, or HHA or something like that, right?

I don't have a job, last one stank. I want a new one though, but it has to be fun, satisfying, relaxed or preferable a combination of those things. Yeah, I know, I'm not helping you out here. :)

Ah well, I do like to work, but no job sounds cool if you have to be there from 9 till 5 making hours. I think I maybe chose the wrong study..

I have to work, because I need to go to university, and my parents can no way support me (one's a school cook, the other processes tyre complaints). I wnat to be an environmentalist or conservationist, and you can't do this without a degree. So i work for the walmart of the UK, Tesco. Goddamn Stupid Hick Town.

No. But I wanna be an artist someday. The trouble with having a job, is that part of ur paycheck goes to the man.

I am currently employed at a major corporate Mortgage Lender. It is actually a great job, good pay and I get to help people buy their homes. My managers are good people who let me be who I am and dont complain much about my appearance as most of my work is over the phone. I'm clean and wear decent clothes but dont much like to tuck in a shirt etc. Alas, it will not last much longer as the industry has since gone to shit...... They will be closing my office after the first of the year and I will be unemployed. Since the industry has transformed into said fecal waste there are no jobs in the biz that require my skills so now I will be starting over as if fresh out of high school. Except now I have the suburban essentials such as a lovely wife, two great kids, a house payment etc. I'm a bit lost I suppose........ (Sorry for the rant)

I have a job as an environmental regulator. I've been doing it over 20 years. Most of it's BS, but now and then I'm really able to do some good.
