I hate all telemarketers they piss me off. I have had them call here as early as 4am because they are on the east coast and I am on the west. But they must get results because companies wouldn't do it if they didn't. But I hate them

ok. not even when you get a nice person on the phone calling you and discussing a promo, someone who makes you laugh, and has a lot in common with you, and you really thought they were really nice?

I never let it get that far. I am never mean of anything but as soon as they say who they are or where they are calling from I tell them I am not interested and take me off their calling list.

i don't mind the recordings as much because they're usually quite pleasant and i can have conversations with them until i get bored and hang up. i hate it whenever it's a real person though, because one of two possibilities always happens. 1: you say you aren't interested, but they won't listen and keep trying to change your mind. these are especially annoying at work when i'm busy and some asshole won't get it through his head that a pizza place doesn't need fucking newspapers. or 2: they start out polite enough, but the second you start to say you aren't interested, they slam the phone down in your ear.

then there's the scammers. i got one call when i was at work where the guy said "hi, i'm so-and-so from such-and-such, the company you buy your paper from. i'm just calling to let you know we're changing our box size and we're sending you out a box." i had no reason not to believe him, so i just said ok, but a couple weeks later we got about $20 worth of paper with a $180 bill to pay to some random company no one had ever heard of

I'm a telemarketer and it's a tough job. I know we can be annoying, but not all are like that. At least i'm not.

im glad when they call sometimes cause their the nicest people, as they get paid to be nice (i think)

specially when im feeling kina down.....i can release some stress by talking to them about it wile convincing them not to call back at the same time

some people tell them to hold and leave the phone off the hook while they watch a movie or something

some just hang up while their in the middle of a sentence....usually after "hi this is _____ ______with the _____ _____ ______, are you happy with your long distance service?

    just a heads up......

if you happen to call my home

youl witness one of the three.....not tryna be an asshole tho

Eh, it's just a person with a job. They're doing what they have to do, like everyone else. On the other hand, when they call and I answer but don't say anything and they say "...hello?...helloooo?" and I scream "AHH!H!!!!!!!XDXD!!!" into the phone as loud as possible, I'm just doing what I have to do...

I haven't had a home phone in a long time, and the last year or two I did we were on the no call list. But I kinda miss the calls really. Sometimes I would mess with their heads...kind of like a reverse prank call. But quite a few times they were pretty cool, I told them right off that I wasn't interested, but had a conversation with them anyway. One guy heard the music I was playing, and we had a 10 min. conversation about our favorite bands. Kind of feels like I gave them a little break

i like the ones who try to paint your house and the ones who try to sell internet stuff.lol
my phy. Science teach was talking to us about telemarketers, it was fucking funny!

he said that this is how the conversation went:

    "hello?"
"Hello, My name is Anna and I would love to hook you up with high speed internet."
    "Really, well i'd love some."
"Alright sir, what kind of computer do you have?"
    "it has a keyboard."
    "does it have windows?"
"Well of course my room has windows, how would i breathe?"
"how much memory does it have?"
"about as much as a calculator."
    *long pause*
"Sir, i dont think we can hook you up with high speed internet."
"Then stop calling my house everynight."

oh then i have this one when the telemarketer called asking for my dad and i was home alone and screamed "Stop calling my house damn it, you have been doing it all day long!" and the guy on the line says "oh, im sorry, i will call back at a better time."

lol, i love messing with telemarketers.......

it is a complete lack of moral charicter of the dominant culture for there to even be such a thing as telemarketing. damd near for there to be such a thing as marketing at all.

it just shows how low we have fallen into being totally brainwashed for telemarketing to even be allowed to continue to exist.

All you have to do is sign up for the no call list if you don't want to be called.

I treat them like phone sex operators. I think it brings a little spice to a monotonous job.

OP: Hi, My name is Jason. I'm calling from AT&T.
ME: Hi Jason. I'd like to hear more.
OP: Well, we're trying to bring more people in your area into our network...
ME: Maybe you and I should network.
OP: So we're offering a free phone with any contract you sign up with us.
ME: Does AT&T like it dirty?
    OP: Excuse me?!
    ME: What are you wearing?

Usually after that they'll hang up, and I know I've brought a little joy into someones life. :H
