Do you ever worry that the stuff you post could hurt you someday?

I've posted alot of stuff on internet forums that I wouldn't want a potential employer to see. Or my family, or girlfriend, etc.

Are those of us who post on the internet about illegal substance use and whatnot going to be royally fucked in the near future when it comes to getting jobs?

 

I am not concerned about any future employers reading this site, because I just don't think it would ever come to that. Only concerned about the pigs.

I've recommended to a few people on here to have 2 email addresses and identities (nicknames). One for places like here and the other for places that you don't want to know about here.

There are some very smart high school and college students here that could run into trouble in the future. You don't know what you'll be wanting to do later in life. You say now that you would never work at a place that drug tests or checks your history but you don't know what the world is going to be like in 5 or 10 years or what you might be stuck having to do.

 

I'm curious as to how they would find my hf account... It's not like they get the FBI involved when hiring. I'm not worried.

 

Eh, if a potential employer would have that big of an issue with my occasionally oddball philosophies and at times dry sense of humor then I wouldn't really want them as a potential employer anyhow. :cheers2:

I plan on working for my self, so no problem there. My current boss knows whats up already, hes cool with it. But I'd prefer my family didn't read some of my posts.
