I just got over strep. My youngest son had it last week and my oldest son was sick with a 102 fever this weekend. Today I'm sneezing constantly, blowing my nose, my heads tightening and my throat is scratchy. I could sleep for days. I feel like a weak warrior with a limp shield. Mothers at the preschool my son goes to says the schools are loaded with sick kids. It's been a never ended cycle with my boys. How can you fight the sickness?
I'm sorry you're not feeling so well. Winter time, stagnant cold air and young kids...you have an uphill battle for sure
It's crazy. Once one gets over it the other gets it. John's in my room now watching tv coughing. Did you get to leave work early today? Hey, Truman was just over. Peanut was doing flips in the air. She caught my leg in her rope. They were smooching.
ive felt like that a lot this winter. so many people at me and my husband's work places are sick that it seems like every time we go back to work... yah.....
I've been going nuts with the airbornes for the past two weeks. If I feel the slightest tingle, I pop one of those and take some additional vitamin B.
Billy and I took an airborne on Saturday. How many do you take a day? I'll take one now. (with water) lol
I usually just one in the morning if I'm not feeling so hot and maybe another in the evening if I'm still feeling a bit out of whack. After your story, I was a bit nervous trying one for the first time, lol. But I've conquered that fear and am now an airborne addict When's the last time your doctor checked you for various allergies?
I haven't been checked in a couple of years. When I was younger I was allergic to mold and cockroches. Last time I went which was a couple of years ago I was fairly clear of allergies but he only did a couple tests. My 2 sons and I just had our airborne for the day. The big question was "do I have to drink all of it?"
I drink all of it when I take them. I usually only use about 2 oz of water, so I knock it back in one swig
I know I could increase my vitamin c. I guess we all could in our house. You don't sweat garlic? My husband was on a garlic kick for awhile. He'd run on the treadmill and I'd about pass out when I entered the room. I'd light incense so I could stand being in the same room. Poor guy.
i dont eat garlic raw or anything. i just add it to food a lot. garlic is sweet when it is cooked. a good way to get down a lot of garlic cloves is also to bake it at 450 degrees for twenty minutes... sprinkled with olive oil and herbs. one of my favorite recipes is cut up potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions cut into quarters, garlic cloves, parsnips, carrots, turnips and any other root veggies.... roasted in the oven at 425 for 50 mins. (add the garlic when there is twenty mins. left)... all drizzled with olive oil and herbs. very good and very healthy.
That's how it seems to go. The month of January was one illness after another, it was horrible. And with three kids, they all would get it, me included, although my hubby managed to escape most of the illness. He's got a kick-butt immune system, lucky him. He swears it's the beer he drinks, says it wards off any bacteria. I don't know, but sometimes I wonder, especially when I've been majorly making out with him and yet he doesn't catch anything. Anyway, I really hope you all feel better. I know how tough it can be, believe me. I've turned into a regular germaphob because of all of the sickness we've had since my oldest started school. We used to never get sick before. Just keep telling yourself you're not going to get sick. Seriously. And up your vitamin C intake. Do you take multi-vitamins? If not, I'd recommend starting some as an extra insurance against illness. Drink lots of fluids too. And lots and lots of hand washing, especially with antibacterial soap. I've got my oldest toting a tiny travel-size antibacterial waterless soap at school on a little keychain attached to his bookbag. He uses it off and on throughout the day, like before and after lunch, after using the bathroom or playing on the playground, and we have a bunch of that stuff at home and in the car. I even wipe down the cart handles at the stores before I use them. I wasn't like this before, but like I said, ever since my oldest started school and it had been one thing after another, I said the heck with it, I'm not taking any more chances of picking anything up else anywhere on top of it! {{{Hugs}}} sweetie, I hope you and your family feel better ASAP.
That sounds delicious. You like to cook. From some of your posts with recipes it looks like you are awesome at it.
Ohhhhhhhh I figured you were eating them raw. Have any of those clay garlic roasters? Ever tried roasted elephant garlic? That/a roasted onion/bread makes a fine snack. Roasting'em seems to kill the bad breath thing...
