Just wondering if you personally have any close friends/acquaintances in your life who really are famous/rich or perhaps like a “Hollywood Celebrity”? Like say for example; Would you consider yourself friends with anyone like Donald Trump? Or Oprah Winfrey? Or Steven Spielberg? Or Tiger Woods? Or even maybe like Jay-Z or even like Insane Clown Posse or famous rappers? Or could even be like politicians, athletes, musicians, actors/actresses, etc???

Me personally, I wouldn’t consider myself close friends with anyone like that but I do admit I have met Adam Sandler before if anyone knows who he is? Famous comedian: Wouldn’t consider myself a friend of his because we don’t “talk all the time”: But I did get to shake his hand and meet him and stuff? What about you?

Not super famous, but my daughter was on over 60 TV shows, commercials, and music videos.

She was on multiple episodes of Young Sheldon, Blackish, American Mom, SEAL Team, Henry Danger, Game Shakers, Fuller House, and a bunch of other shows. She started by doing background work, but took acting lessons and went on hundreds of auditions that landed her dozens of primary roles. She was also a member of SAG, something that really pissed us off because the union demanded $3,000 or they’d block her from working. Hollywood is full of non-union actors but she got picked for so many union shoots that SAG took notice and demanded she join thanks to MARVEL (they reported her to SAG). Basically, you need three SAG vouchers to join SAG which is difficult considering the way they fill roles. My daughter kept getting called to shows without having to audition, so ended up with 13 SAG vouchers in less than a month. They noticed. They sent a letter demanding she pay a $3k membership fee or they’d block her from working even non-union roles. It worked out in the end, she went from making $200/show to over $1k/show.

My son did some acting, too, but he just did it for X-Box money. He wasn’t passionate about it. His last movie was Ford vs. Ferrari as some random kid at the track, but he was highlighted as a “primary” so still gets residual checks.

My daughter’s favorite event was getting slimed on live TV at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. She did shows for most of the major studios, but had a contract with Nickelodeon.

She passed away in 2022 at 21 years old. She was in her 2nd year of Nursing school. Blood clots. I’m so heartbroken. I’ve stayed drunk since she died. We’re struggling. She had such an amazing personality. She graduated high school a year early to focus on acting, but went to nursing school because she didn’t feel acting “gave her a sense of purpose”. She loved children and wanted to be a pediatric nurse.

I miss my girl so much. This is soul crushing.

Having worked as a post production film engineer for more than 50 years, the list is endless. What is so different is that working with them they want your input, so you just forget who they are and can often end up with a few heated exchanges.
One of my longest periods of work with anyone seen as famous, was my 37 yeas with the late Richard Attenborough, I worked from his home.
People often forget that most of these people live normal everyday lives, so you can be sitting next to them on the tube, or shopping in Tesco's. Most people just assume that they look like someone famous, but never think for a second that they are the real thing.
The funniest incident ever, was when a brash American woman buying her tickets at a west end theatre, saw someone standing in the foyer. She rushed over and said, "OMG, has anyone ever told you that you are the spitting image of the queen". She got the normal smile and reply, "Occasionally".

I was able to work with a few A listers and many singer songwriters and some jamband folks.

My ex worked on backdrops for String Cheese and many other bands.
I was a reporter for about 10 years and also moonlighted at a venue.

She was really gorgeous. It sounds like she had a really good heart too. I'm sorry this happened.
It's understandable that you're heartbroken, but being drunk all the time is probably the last thing she would have ever wanted for you.
