I feel that He was sharing an important point, that our spirits are eternal. The only thing I think may not agree with His words is that I feel all of our spirits are eternal, whether we believe in Him or not. So His statement was a safe bet, if I am right. I believe in Him, but many Christians tell me that I don't believe in Him the right way. lol
I more than just believe.........He is a great source of inspiration, and I am content in my heart with our relationship. It is private, doesn't require me to convert others, or worship Him, just to try to be more like Him, that's all.

So if you follow this belief right up till death.. you will always believe you will never die . So if the statement is true you feel good in the knowledge and you never die . If the statement is just the work of us humans and none of this god/jesus stuff is true your good because it won't matter. Me , i don't wish to waste my time while alive contemplating anything spiritual.. heck the pope gets to interprete the word of god .. who knows what people will be thinking in 50 years time.
The key word is "whosoever" lives. "never die" can be interpreted as "you-ever die". If you know paradoxes exist, then you'll get what I'm saying. There is the "I", the 'you', and the 'who' that hold a distinction. The self ("I") cant die. But the "you" either can or cant die based on the physical body and the self. In hell and as hell the "you" can ever die and ever live one in the same because of how the soul is configured. Once the self is taken from this body (world), then that self is no longer as a "you" of that substance of body (world). Did you know that the "who" is based on the "what"? Some of us arent even as who we will truelly be as yet until the fulfillment. I say some because who the devil in general is as is in paradox which you can count as the true who their kind be even already. Me-I'm barely standing here.
been more than 1900 years and The Brethren of The Messiah yet believe the same, "Whoever lives and believes in The Messiah shall never die". 50 years? but a vapor, a shadow, nothingness. ?"contemplating spiritual"? every breath(spirit) you take should reveal your need for spiritual food. it makes no difference what you believe, for in spite of you, you remain body, soul and spirit. many are held captive by a lying spirit and hope is you will seek out and look to The Truth, and not at the religious systems(one of which is "christianity") that are of this world and it's "god".
