Do you answer the phone to a unknown number?

I dont usually but it bugs me for ages after wondering who the hell it was,also I dont answer my home phone if it rings I check who it was after and then ring them back if its someone I know.

Am I alone in doing this??

 

Nope. I don't answer private callers or unknown numbers.

 

Only if they keep calling. Because then I know it's someone from work calling, lol. They're too dumb to understand the "leave a message after the beep" thing.

 

I hate it when they ring and leave no message too,that really bugs me,or not even a text after so you really have no idea who it is!

 

Nope ! And half the time I don't answer if it's someone I know .

Yeah I do that quite often too,today my dad rang me and I ignored it 4 times,however I did eventually ring him back but only cuz I thought he might just turn up on my doorstep if he wanted to get hold of me.I do love my dad he just annoys the shit of me.

Next time you should answer in a very monotone voice with, "Hello Dave."

 

Not usually but on occasion I do answer unknown calls, especially if I'm anticipating a call from an unknown number, ie doctor or call back about a job.

I recently changed my phone providers and had to change my number. The new number gets numerous different calls from all sorts of people looking for a couple different people. I usually send them right to voicemail, but I have let a few know after being annoyed a bit.

yeah, if i can. not knowing things drives me crazy. i wouldn't be able to sleep knowing someone took the time to call me and not knowing who or why.

yeah, at one point my dad, my roommate, and one of my best friends would all come up restricted.

 

I totally screen my calls. I barely even answer the phone for people I know. Bad habit I guess.

 

No I never answer the phone unless I know who’s on the other end

If they don’t leave a message or the number doesn’t come up on called ID they’re of no interest to me.

Nope. If it is important then they should leave a message and I'll decide whether to call back or not.

I don't. My motto is "if you didn't leave a message, you didn't call"

 

so if you answer the phone, does that mean they didn't call?
