i have a GREAT one, i had a roomate that thought she had demons with her, and they would tell her to do things, and she even broke the closet door of her bedroom throwing a bottle at a demon, they came with her underaged boyfriend she met while taking care of homeless CHILDREN, and his demons told him to get her pregnant, so she can have the baby of satan. yeah, i slept with my door locked, and moved out!!
My roomates are always yelling in Lingala. They have the strangest hours, up early and late. They have bad taste in music, and are always playing it loudly at weird hours. I love my roomates. But Damn! Get a regular sleeping schedule!
I had a roomate that was disabled, so he had a guide dog. But his guide dog was a full blooded wolf. Incidentally, one of the best animals I've ever been around. I looved that dog. I helped the guy out a lot. But honestly, he was kinda a racist.
i had a great roommate for a while, this gay guy, we were inseparable. we even slept in the same bed, but geeez he was lazy, and never would pay rent, i would pay his share all the time. but i loved having him there, and i had the money, so i didnt care.
They do a lot of things. My one roommate is really fucking loud all the god damn time, hes made me almost cry while tripping a couple of times (not cool at all), eats our food without asking, and he always has to touch me and that gets really annoying. The other one wakes up at like 5 every morning and goes to bed really early, isnt very considerate about noise when your trying to sleep or anything (my room is the living room since there are only 2 bedrooms) but hes sure quick to tell you to keep your music, etc turned down real low when hes studying or anything. Also both of them are racist and wont let me smoke pot in the apartment. Niether of them do dishes either, im stuck doing them all the fucking time which pisses me off the most. They wont even put them in the dishwasher 3/4ths of the time.
Let's see I've had my share of really, really lazy roommates who would quit jobs, think they didn't have to work and help pay for anything but would eat ALL of the food I bought while I was at work. One roommate used to take my stereo out of my room when his friends were over (without asking) and ended up breaking it. He also took my car without permission once and I was freaking out, had the cops there cause I thought someone stole my car, then he brought it back and I didn't press charges.... Another roommate used my razor to cut her wrists (in a stupid way that would never work, it was just for attention) in the bathtub and got blood everywhere... Hmmm.... I dont know what else right now but I've had shitty roommates before. Luckily now I just have a super considerate husband who is quiet when I sleep, neat, takes out the trash and cleans the litter box cause I hate doing those things, helps with whatever I want help with... he's super easy to live with.
i had one that tried to rip me off alot when we moved out, i had to come to her new house and collect me shit that she stole, and she even came and visited me and stole a hat from my own house!!! got that back too. what a bitch, so i asked her to lend me 100 bucks and never paid her back. i call that an asshole fee.
my rooommate doesnt always flush the toilet, even after a number 2. she usually stinsk of stale sweat and sometimes the hallway stinks of it too, when her door is open. she also feels the need to poke and/or hug me if i seem to be in a somewhat friendly mood, which totally kills that good mood. and she borrows movies ive taken from work (work at a movie store = free rentals) and doesnt put them back where i can find them so i nearly miss my bus while trying to hunt them down she does however do dishes, which is awesome.
My ex wife moved back in becuase she had no place to go, since I divorced her in the firt place need I say more???
I've had good roommates as well as bad. I live alone and can barely stand the ugly mug I see in the mirror. I'm reading some of the responses and it brings back memories.
I don't think I could live with any person. I did a schoolies week with two of my mate's a few weeks back and I nearly went nuts.
I love living in little communties. Right now it's just me and my pets...and they are good, but My roommate was WONDERFUL! but then she left to go spend the fall in north california...which I guess would be the thing gthat drives me crazy cause I miss her Lots! But she's back in like 2 weeks and then I don't have to live along anymore YAY!
I had the worst roommate I could possibly imagine my freshman year of school. He would have sex with his girlfriend in the bunk under me, he would never clean up (you couldn't see the floor because of stacked food), and he was loud. I didn't mind too much, I'm probably as easy going as it gets, but it was still a tad annoying. I have a suitemate now (share a living room and a bathroom with him) and he's the best suitemate ever. I only see him like once every two weeks. We don't talk, we don't argue, hell...I don't even remember his name. I think he's really depressed or something... doesn't bother me at all. I enjoy silence greatly, and I can meditate in peace here without anyone bothering me. Plus, he doesn't seem to mind my music playing and extremely late bedtime... or at least is too much of a pussy to confront me... So it's a great living arrangement... I always have somewhere to go where I can escape the world.
i had a terrible roommate my sophomore year...always in trouble, which meant the room was on CMC (being that its a military school - Closed Military Confinement). so strict standards in teh room, couldn't use our new privileges we got because he was being punished. it got so bad that me and the other roommate threatened to leave school if the situation wasn't fixed soon
When I was living in the dorms, I had this terrible roommate. She stopped speaking to me completely for nearly a month. We never argued or anything, so I never really understood why. I would say "Hi" and she would go on with her business, as if I wasn't even there. She also woke up at the crack of dawn every morning, weekends included. As soon as she would get out of bed, she would open the blinds. Of course, she got the say on how the room would be set up, and my bed was right in front of the window. Yup, at 6:30 every morning I got an eyefull of sunshine. She was crazy. I introduced her to my friends, who she dubbed as too nice that they were fake. I would drive her to her BF's school, because she didn't have a car and because I would need a break. She would get pissed off if my phone rang in the middle of the night, even on a weekend. She would get pissed off if I went to bed past 10pm, even on weekends. She got pissed off because according to her I didn't study enough. She would get pissed off if I EVER played music. Everything pissed her off. I kind of had to bite my mouth, otherwise I knew it would be a terrible year. Too bad we didn't keep in touch!!!
DH and I have had 2 room mates, and we will never have another. The first set our living room on fire while we were in bed. He put it out, but still. Apparently he just wigged one night. He took the food out of the cabinets and fridge and threw it all over, including glass bottles (which , no matter how many times I vacuum, I still manage to find shards of with my feet.). He then squirted kerosene all over the living room carpet and lit it. That one got ugly, because when we woke up and saw it, dh just started cleaning everything up. (he's very non-confrontational) I went in and asked the guy what the hell, and he tried to convinve me that while we were all asleep, someone must have broken in and done all of this. The next guy set up a meth lab in our garage without telling us. Now, this is dumb enough, but our neighbor is a cop, and we let him store his mower in our garage. The roommate knew this, but apparently didn't think it'd be a problem. You haven't really lived until you've been woken up by the DEA roping your house off and telling you that they "just need to ask you a few questions.":leaving:
