um, well, he doesn't sound like he's being very caring about ya at the moment, but anywho...

it's probably his ejaculate mixing with your fluids that he's smelling. I definately smell different after sex, particularly sex without a condom - the combination of the two fluids does produce a distinctly different scent than either of them on their own.

Yeah, I pretty much always notice a different smell after sex, related to the combination of the two fluids.

Does the scent not change if you don't get off?

i doubt it - from what i can tell from the threads you make, he seems to complain about everything with you and has not been caring for your needs at all.

Do check with your OB or midwife to make sure you don't have a bacterial infection or yeast infection. These can cause some odors. Tricomoniasis smells like rotten fish.

Your man should be a little more sensitive in general, though, especially when you are pregnant.

I know I want a bath (not a shower) after Bear and I have sex, especially if we don't use a condom, because the mixture does produce a distictive aroma. But, if you don't have an infection, this is normal. Nothing that a bath won't fix.

DO NOT douche. It is not good for you during pregnancy, not to mention any other time.

    Blessings,

    Maggie

    Oh my. That sounds... icky.

But it seems like you would know if you smelled, since when you're pregant you have such an acute sense of smell. I would go see a doc, like Maggie Sugar said.

Thanx so much for your suggestions.

Maybe your fiance has a super-sensitive nose. I have read in pregnancy books that due to the increased amount of hormones circulating throughout a woman's body during pregnancy, a woman's natural scent might appear stronger.

To be honest, when I was pregnant with my twins especially, I was convinced that I had more of a musky scent than usual. I was worried about it when my husband wanted to kiss me down there, but he said that he didn't notice anything different at all, and that he thought I was imagining things. I could notice a difference, however. It was not a bad smell at all, but it seemed more "musky" to me.

It shouldn't be offending your fiance, unless he's got a hang-up about the natural scent of a woman to begin with, and the increased muskiness might be something he's not too fond of. But geez, he really should be more sensitive. You are already going through enough with being pregnant and feeling self-conscious as it is.

I wonder how he would feel if you told him that now, when he comes, he tastes bad. ;)

    Hugs.

I think he doesnt know how to be sensitive on certain subjects..... I mean when he and i first had sex and he went down on me he came right back up and said i taste horrible. GEE thanx Asshole. LOL well I guess he does have a "hang up" on the natural scent of a woman.

da deal is this... we men know what our personal cootie smells like, taste like all of that... so now that you are pregnant you are releasing an increased amount of hormones some will cause a more pungent odor some will not... it depends on the woman... in some cases the man can notice it... in other he can not... so dont worry its perfectly normal... and he should be happy his ass is even getting some pussy cuz many pregnant girls dont ven want to have sex after they concieve!

Cootie? Is that like your own personal juices? I haven't known many men who were willing to taste their own cum...

In a round about way, tho, you do bring up a good point. FallenFairy, if he has a problem with it, why don't you just tell him to do without until he learns to appreciate it?

Unfortunately I do douche after sex, despite all warnings... the problem is if I don't get it ALLL out, I end up itching insanely and sometimes get a yeast infection. I think I may be allergic to my hubby's stuff. Anyway in addition to that, I can't stand the smell. A bath or a shower just doesn't cut it. I hope I'm not messing myself up.

douching can give you an increased risk of yeast infection.

So why is it I get them if I DON'T douche? For me, strangely enough, douching helps prevent them.

Oh, and I use a mix of vinegar and water... vinegar supposedly helps make the enviroment inhospitable to the little yeasty bastards.
