Do Doob Tubes really work?

I just got home from a month and half long road trip and found out that my roommates aren't letting me smoke in the apartment anymore. They threatened to call the cops the next time they smell pot smoke, and I actually think they'd do it. At the same time, I found out that cops are cracking down on drug use in my area. So I'm ruling out smoking in the car, too. I can always smoke at my friend's houses, but sometimes I just want a taste before bed, etc. So do doob tubes really work? You know... a toliet paper roll filled with fabric softener sheets? I haven't used one since high school, and my friend's mom busted us anyway. But all my friends swear by them. Do they really work? If I blew out the window of my room, would I get away with it? I'm stuck with these bitches until August, so I'm looking for a long term fix here.

 

Ya they work, but I suggest using a gatorade bottle or something larger instead of a toilet paper roll. Fill it up with those fabric softener sheets and poke 2 or 3 holes in the bottom of the bottle. Have some Febreze onhand for any smoke that you dont blow through the dinger thing.

even if it did work, ya really wanna be the person hanging there head out a window blowing smoke through a tube filled with fabric softener sheets,, for the next 7 months???

plus, i cant imagine the fabric softener sheets that close to your nose and mouth are all that great tasting..

id try an get outta what ever agreement you have with them and find another place to live.. that would be the mature thing to do...

 

Just find a smoke spot outside or go in your car and drive somewhere sweet. Its always a fun adventure to find a new place outside to smoke!

 

So the bigger the bottle, etc, the better? If I have to use so many sheets to fill up a liter bottle, can I reuse it or is this something you redo every time you use it? I feel like such a tool asking about this... I've been smoking for 6 years now and here I am asking advice on something as silly as this.

 

I never found that it eliminated the immediate smell. You just end up with a room smelling like fabric softener and weed. But it does get rid of any lingering odor. I used to use a paper towel roll with around 6 to 7 sheets, and then switch them for fresh ones every 3 or so sessions.

 

They sure work.. but only if done and used properly.

Here's how I do it.. haven't been caught and I've been toking every day for the last 3 months in my room.. which is the room next to my parents' room.

Step one:

Get one of those scott/sponge towel rolls.. basically a toilet paper tube but twice the lenght.

Get a vaccuum filter.. they come inside most vaccuum bags.. if you can't use that.. you can use kleenexes.

finally you'll need a sheet that you don't use anymore and an empty pillowcase.

Step 2

Tape a vaccuum filter at one of the ends of the tube.
If using kleenex, simple fold a few layers of kleenex together (the thicker, the better) and tape that at one end.

Now simply rap the sheet around the tube with the open end sticking out somewhere and insirt the tube (now rapped with a sheet) in the pillow case.

Step 3

Load a pipe or bong, toke it all.. don't let anything escape and blow the smoke in the tube.

If you're still a little unsure, you can do like me and blow back the smoke while under covers.

It's a hassle, but over time you can get used to it.

P.S. It's been saving me a lot of weed... since it's a one toke, I tend to keep them in longer and needing less to get me blazed.. much much less. Also there's nothing that escapes, therefore you're literally taking on the full hit.

 

A liter bottles pretty big but ya the bigger the bottle the more time the smoke has to pass through the fabric softeners. I used to use a Propel bottle when I had to do this. You can reuse the dinger thing a lot and just replace the fabric sheets when they start looking bad. Just lightly spray some axe or febreze right before and after you toke and you should be fine. A towel over the crack at the bottom of your door may help as well.

 

Or you could coke up an asian, and make him attack your neighbors

i hate these things i used one recently just to reduce the chance of getting caught by parents and now i got a terrible cold. but if needed i would say use one still use fan + air freshener just to be on the safe side. i got caught once and it was when i least expected it so always be cautious! but dont need to take advice from me im 14 >.>

Ya just leave your window open and invest in some spray called Ozium its godly for the smell man I smoke at night and by the time my dad comes to wake me up for school never noticed anything lol

 

since i dont know much about your living situation, maybe this wouldnt work... but perhaps try talking to your roommates and explaining that you dont want to get busted by the cops, you dont want THEM to get busted by the cops, etc.

since your home is probably the safest option, explain that to them. you can try to make sure they dont smell it, but if they call the cops on you, then they´re also inviting cops into THEIR house. tell them you´ll only smoke in your room, using a doob-tube, incense, etc.


or just stash some weed in their rooms so if they call the cops to bust you, they´ll get busted too. tastes bitter doesnt it?!

 

Weed? Hell no.

Rather stash a large amount of crack or heroin in their bedrooms. Anyone turning friends/close ones in for something pathetic like cannabis possession should deserve the highest penalty possible himself.

sorry for double post that sent early but that juts makes the room smell heavily like sweeter smelling weed, something MORE noticable
heres what you need

glade scented candles 5$ for first one, then you need to buy more three dollars for 3
they go for hours and work
even if you dont keep it out the window i promise you they work, i smoke every night and my mom walks in my room 5 minutes after a smoking session and i'll have those burnin and she doesnt think a thing, i blow into fabric sheets im busted, keep it out the window, have a fan blowing towards the window glade scented candles works like a charm

 

we call those flowbee's lol haven't heard them called that.. they do work alittle but you'll still smell a faint smell... but if you do it by an open window or somewhere with good ventilation it works ok

 

No they do work, you probably just never made a very good one. The candle is a good idea too though. The best thing to do if you were real concerned would be to do both. I was using the fabric softener thing one time back in the day and my mom walked in during the bowl. Luckily I sprayed Axe before I started smoking and she didnt see my pipe so she had no idea. She just asked why I sprayed so much Axe haha.
