I will write a trip report proper later on, hopefully this afternoon. I spent the early morning on Sunday trying this combination a few times. I would take 2 to 3 hits of DMT, clear my lungs and take in a prepared baloon immediately after, so that the effects of the nitrous began roughly at the same time as the DMT ascent becomes nearly vertical. The first time I did this was at around midnight on Saturday, after arriving at my friends house in Brooklyn. We both tried it in turns, one waiting for the other to get back close enough to baseline so that the baloons were filled with as close to a sober mind as posslbe, until we were joined by another friend. My first impression as the nitrous took hold was of multi colour symbols (mostly crosses, stars, circles, triangles &c) about the size of a piece of Lucky Charms cereal falling out of my bottom front teeth, through my lower lip and bouncing off of my chest and into a pile on the floor in a continous stream as if from a fountain. I said something about it three times during the night, and described it as "tiny symbol metal candies falling from my teeth through my lip". They looked edible, and I had the impression that they were, that I had in fact tried to eat them, though I *knew* them to be of a tighly pulled solid material, a kind of metal. I don't remember what I was listening to at the moment, but I do recollect an interesting point to bring up in this anecdote: that the nitrous and the DMT seemed to cancel out each others auditory effects. Every time I tried this combination throughout the morning, the high pitched whirring / ringing tone and the low rumbling bass tones hyper pitch shifted, filtered and LFO'd at roughly 60% were not present. The sensation was there, especially that of the nitrous roar, but the sounds which accompany both drugs were not to be heard, in fact my sense of hearing was rather enhanced quite pleasurably. The visions were phenomenal, though lacking in any ecstatic mystical impressions, and there were no breakthrough experiences, something which I consider both the situation and my state of mind at the time responsible for, though I'm sure the nitrous had much to do with it.
Cool descriptions! That's strange the auditory effects canceled out, I thought that would have been one of the main features of the combo.
Thank you! And me too! I was very shocked to find the total opposite to 'ring true' in my case. Very shocked, in fact, because I was looking forward to just that synergistic effect. Perhaps it is just moi, or perhaps it was just a fluke of an evening, I do not know, but it was very definite and it happened more then once, so it left me with the impression that they did cancel each other out.
