Shpongle is the soundtrack for hyperspace for me. Lately i've been getting a lot of good use out of I Am You and You Are Me . . . but all Shpongle sounds like it was composed for DMT hyperspace. i've also used Shulman, Younger Brother, Bluetech, Phutureprimitive, Solar Fields, Echo Pilot, Grateful Dead, Electric Hot Tuna, Asura, Outersect, Androcell, Ott, ShadowShaman and even ABDCTN (i know these guys LOL!) and traditional ayahuasca icaros.
My very first DMT breakthrough i had NO music playing. But, as soon as my soul launched out of my body (Holy crap, was i surprised by this!!!) i heard something ("DMT Music") that was without lyrics, playful, insane, electronic and had some sort of calliope/carnival vibe. Months later i heard this and almost had a seizure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHhzY6VLqAk&p=B2D35774965EAFFE&playnext=1&index=5"]YouTube - Bassnectar- Beats Antique Roustabout (Bassnectar Remix) Just think a bit less bassy, slower, more insane and no lyrics and that's what i heard.
yeah all I've ever listened to on my trips were shponge phish and the caylieb people. Ill check out some of those other bands you mentioned.
Spicey - haha that music sounds like it would be great for it! Bassnectar was in Pittsburgh not too long ago and some friends were trying to get me to go. Maybe I shouldda haha.
Shpongle's divine moments of truth is a great Dmt song. I don't really listen to music much on dmt though as spicey pointed out Dmt has its own auditory effects if you take a good hit. I wouldn't mind listening to a beatles song like 'within you without you' on dmt but I've yet to do that.
Yeah I've always done it in silence too and was immediately submersed in loudness. And then comes the chatter. hehe
Lately i've been wondering about the potential of baroque era classical music with DMT, especially the stuff that sounds building and circular, like Bach. i'm going to have to try some experiments with this soon . . .
good luck with your experiments spicey, my friend always plays classical music when were on mdma, I hate it as much as you can hate something on MDMA which isn't much but that music is not for me.
I acknowledge there are some well written classical compositions but there is enough electronic music (infected mushroom ) and rock music that incorporate classical type modes in their music for me to not really delve into classical music. Its just not for me.
i actually LOVE baroque era classical but have never used it for tripping before. Between the electronica, down tempo, dub step, goa, psychedelic, trance and classic rock, i have to admit i've never actually used classical music to drive a trip before and oh boy does music drive my DMT trips - it helps to build the foundations, the synaesthetic forms of the visions . . .
