Can you smoke DMT fumarate? I have no MAOI to take it orally ... And snorting it doesn't seem very nice and effective... Also there's no crack pipes available... So I guess it's best for me to smoke it in a bong, "sandwich method", I guess without water in bong ... As fumarate has higher boiling point than other DMT forms I guess less will be destroyed this way if I don't do it perfectly... I practically found no info on smoking DMT fumarate... But I definitely want to try it as soon as I get it and who knows when I'll get some Peganum harmala so I can take it orally.. Also I want to experience smoked DMT before trying it orally.. I can't wait to try it.. Please say only difference is more heat needed ...
Why the hell would you go to the trouble of converting it to a fumarate salt if you wanna smoke it? You smoke freebase. You sniff/IV/IM fumarate. If you wanna smoke it, convert it.
Of course I wouldn't do that if I had made it myself... I bought it like that... I would take it I.V. if it isn't yellow.. But as it's still very pure and fumarate it's very tempting.... You say it can't be smoked effectively? I know smoking it definitely isn't best way to use it.... But what's main problem comparing to freebase... Higher melting point?
Well sometimes the "endproduct" is a salt (fumaric salt in this case), like with just about any of the xylene teks, it is great for storage as it is more stable than the freebase form, and is very easily converted to freebase. Edit: Actualy I have some time, let me copy and paste some stuff from a tek from a trusted source (the guy that got me into tryptamines)... I'll have to edit a few times as I need to stick the pictures in too, and its all in zip files etc... 11. The Fumarates should be put in a small bowl with some sodium carbonate (you can prepare your own by bakeing sodium bicarbonate)(40% fumarate, 60% sodium carbonate) and mixed well while dry, crushing everything to a powder. Now just enough water should be added to form a paste, which is then again mixed thouroughly and continiously. A small flat bottomed vial can be used to crush the clumps which can be quite hard. It dries very fast and if worked the whole time it never forms clumps. 12. Once the paste has dried out, dry acetone can be added and the entire mixture pounded so that the clumps formed on drying are worked into a powder while under acetone. Once the solution clears the acetone can be sucked up with a pipette and placed in a small flat dish, this step should be repeated 4 times, combining all the acetone for evaporation. 13. Once the Acetone has evaporated one is left with a plate full of xtals/goo (spice and jungle) which can either be smoked as is (Xylene Style Jungle Spice) or separated into Jungle and Spice. To separate naptha can be added to the dish and heat applied from below via a hot water bath until all the spice has disolved - its better to use a larger amount of naptha here to be sure all the spice has disolved. The warm naptha can be decanted into a suitable freeze precipitation vessel and evaporated down until it turns milky when blown on.
I got it .. Tried just a little bit and it can be smoked (tried 15mg or so and definitely felt some effects) but I wont do this because it's possible it's dangerous for lungs.. I will use tek that ANC posted.. And will left it mixed with sodium fumarate.. I will only need bigger amount to smoke that way and wont lose any DMT and wont need to use naptha..
It melted pretty easily.. Never smoked DMT before so I can't compare to freebase.. But I think part of it recrystallized in bong (you know in tube that goes to water.. don't know name for it..lol)...didn't use water.. I was amazed that I felt any effects from such a small dose.. I'm sure it's fumarate.. I got it from very reliable source and see no reason why he would claim it's fumarate if it isn't.. Just a few days ago I saw on dmt-nexus people talking about smoking DMT fumarate and it works for them also but it could be dangerous.. Got no reason to risk so I'll convert it to freebase when needed..
You would be better off basically doing a small STB extraction on your product. The sodium carbonate (as suggested in the post above) is a solid, and will be left as an adulterant in your final product. I would dissolve the DMT in a glass of water that has been pH-adjusted with NaOH to at least 12, then pull with a minimal amount of hot naptha and freeze precipitate it out.
I think you misunderstand the process, the powder you see gets washed with acetone, this takes out the DMT, and the acetone gets evaped off leaving a DMT freebase goo which then gets disolved into naphta etc as per above...
