Divorce Horror Story

There is something I like to refer to in my head as "the divorce industry". It is extremely profitable. The "divorce industry" is where lawyers find women who are getting divorced and lie in court among other things to take as much property away from the man as possible. I assume it could go the other way (man takes womans property), but I've never seen it do that (If it ever does let me know. I'd expect that it will if it doesn't already.). Theres no protections, no justice. This is absolutely rediculous, and its not uncommon either.

Yup. But bring this sort of crap up and they always bring up what about Shaniqua living with five kids, and her husband bailed on her with the skinny blonde and he won't pay child support....

 

After reading that, I almost felt compelled to sign a pre-nup with mono so that in the horridly unlikely event that we part ways, no lawyer can turn my head to try and take everything from him. He doesn't deserve that at all! No man does!

They don't mean ANYTHING.

They've been effectively shredded in court.

I've never understood a pre-nup.

Why get married if you're already planning your divorce?

 

To control your assets going into the marriage. Especially if your spouse and yourself use a shared banking and/or seperate accounts. What if your partner committed a heinous crime like murder or fraud and you wanted a divorce? What if your partner hid stocks or made bad financial decisions without your consent or knowledge?
The purpose is to protect your assets, and not yourself from the institution that is marriage and a common-law partnership.

And the problem I have in this link, is this man is advocating that other people shouldn't get married. Well, I'm sorry but what about gay and lesbian couples? Should they never get married, live together and share their expenses even if their rights to such a marriage isn't protected under law?

Should everyone live alone in order to protect themselves from the shackles of marriage?

I don't understand why this man is focusing on lawyers, when he's more upset with the Missouri judges' decision, in regards to his case.

There are countless flaws to the nature and credibility of this article, that it's not even remotely obvious to me to believe that lawyers are the driving force behind what Green describes as the "Divorce Industry".

Well, after adjusting my preggo hormone-handicapped brain, I realised it was silly to think about the end of a marriage before it begins....Almost like you're hoping for it...

Well, men have to these days.

80% of the time it's the woman that wants out - not cause she's being beaten or abused, because she feels like a change. Just leave your credit cards and the house and your money on the mantel on your way out the door.

 

Well, luckily, I'm not like most women. I want to work to build up my husband, help him become who he wants to be, not who I want him to be. To be happy and healthy, not so stressed...To feel like a king.

Because I know that a man well taken care of (if he's a good man) will take good care of his lady.

 

HF, don't take this the wrong way, but men will tell you most women say that, at first.

 

i've never seen a marriage work out. ever. but i'm happy to say that i've only seen one relationship end where the psycho bitch took him for all he was worth, and that's my stepfather's ex wife. the fucking **** is still collecting $1200/month alimony, plus his naval retirement, and they've been divorced for over 20 years. the rest of the relationships i've seen split up end up fairly amicable. i would recommend protecting yourself, knowing that you're human, and may fuck up royally, cheat on your spouse, piss her off to a degree you've never witnessed, and have her eat your balls for breakfast...she's gonna knock you down with the only weapon that's really gonna hurt you. money. if you cheat on your spouse, and she finds out, she's gonna make sure no other woman will want you the only legal way she's got.

bitches are mean, man. and totally unforgiving.

I know most women are complete psycho bitches and all...is there a pill to prevent that from forming in an otherwise non-psycho woman? Anything at all?
