We're getting new windows installed today and so at the moment, there's two builders wandering around in my new beautiful CLEAN home. I can understand it gets messy when you're attaching new window frames into a building. HOWEVER, this is not a building site anymore, it's a HOME. It's pissing down with rain right now and so it's very muddy outside. So it would make sense to take your shoes off before you come inside, right? But nooooo, there's now muddy footprints alllllll over the place, including on all the rugs downstairs - and I ASKED if they wanted me to remove them before they started and they said no, we won't make a mess. Uh huh. And one of them also peed all over the toilet seat. Wtf?
ewwww, that really sucks. i guess you wont be recommending them to anyone else needing work on their house eh?
They could have at least put on those plastic covers over their shoes to protect the floor, that way mud wouldn't have gotten all over the place. And the peeing over the toilet seat? That's just nasty. My sons have better aim. And if you don't make it into the toilet, then at least have the decency to clean up after yourself!
Well these were just two random guys from the company we ordered the windows from so all they luckily had to do here was to put the windows up. I'm still so pissed off about the mess they made. I swear EVERYTHING in the living room had a thick layer of funk on it by the time they left, I spent about three hours this afternoon just cleaning the house. Tim and I did most of the work on the house, with some help from his dad and a couple of builders who Tim and his dad have worked with for a long long time. They never peed on the toilet seat so that makes them awesome in my book. Then a bit later our dog sneaked outside, rolled around in the mud, sneaked back in and left muddy paw prints everywhere.
