So I know this probably won't be the most popular one around here, but I actually like diphenhydramine(benadryl). I've used it before at doses around 300 mg, which makes you trip balls, but it also comes with a lot of unpleasant side effects. I don't like it at higher doses at all, it's probably the worst drug then, but at doses between 100-150mg I like it. It gives you a lightheadedness, some minor visual distortion, and a mild weed buzz. It's very relaxing, and it's also great to knock you out when you need sleep but aren't tired. Anyone here have any comments?
Not a fan. Taken up to 600mg in a night when I was struggling with some depression and shit..terrible stuff
once in my teens I took 150mg, 3, 50mg pills.. I had a funny taste in my mouth , It was snowing and I felt really old and tired. I saw black wiggley on the snow, nothing more than that maybe a few colored wiggles. I walked to a gas station got some coffee walked back to boxcar and chilled yes it was cold and I couldnt fall asleep cause I has restless legs from the bennydrills... sucks..
I really never knew diphenhydramine had any recreational value up until recently when people on these boards talked about it. Never even bothered to look on Erowid, it just didn't occur to me. I guess I've only taken "medicinal" doses of it, but I hate how it takes me like 3 days to stop feeling groggy and fucked up. I'm assuming the "hangover" is potentiated the higher the dose you take... I don't know if it's for me or not. I'm sure I'll get bored enough one day to find out...
I got all I could out of dph. I usually took 775mg when I took it. I even drove a car on it one night. lol Stupid, I know. The last time I took a dose of 775mg, I was also on 120mg of xanax. THAT was a crazy day. Fuck dph though. The dehydration is some rough shit.
I liked it at doses between 75mg-125mg, but anything more than that always left me SO fucking uncomfortable, well into the next day. I took up to 250mg once and was so uncomfortable that I almost cried... never felt the need nor want to go any higher. As a side note, taking 125mg before masturbation GREATLY enhances the orgasm (for men, at least).
Yeah it does make you feel like shit the next day. It feels A LOT like an alcohol hangover, which is due to the dehydration, I assume. I ate 775mg and went to work about 9 hours later. That was hella shitty. I should've gotten a pay raise or a bonus for showing up to work that day. lol That's how shitty it was.
Yea anything over 150 mg is always miserable and excruciating for me. My friend took 400 mg in school yesterday, and got away with it, he's a fuckin nut. That's probably the worst thing to take in school.
I always keep some of this around - it's great for nausea, it *does* work as an OTC sleeping pill, though it is hard to wake up next day and tolerance builds up very quickly. Cause its a strong antihistamine, it's great when my hayfever gets horrendous, great for easing the opiate itch, and it's supposed to potentiate opiate effects too. I've never noticed this massively, but it does make me sleepier on H and stuff. Only done it anywhere near these kinda recreational doses a couple times, always at the low end...never got any real effects, except one night I woke up in the middle of the night, having taken a couple hundred mgs cause I'd been doing coke and had no benzos, and went to take a piss. I couldn't fucking walk! It was like I was proper drunk, took me ten minutes to get down the hall. I've never been that interested in taking enough to see these spiders and crabs and shit; why the hell would i want to see that?
aside from latent drowsiness and dry mouth dph is kinda cool. honestly, i've had a lot of fun on like 350mg. TOTALLY worth trying IMO. promethazine is much better though...lets hear it for throwing my cell phone at a bunch of zombies, and then realizing i threw my cell phone into the street, being frustrated at the fact i threw my 1 connection to reality i then punched through a fence.
Great to mix with opiates to help nod and rid the itch. 50-150mgs for sleep. And 100-200mgs tops with some weed is quite interesting. I'd never take enough to achieve the delirient effects though.
