Citizens of the USA, Did you get your stimulus money (Economic Impact Payment) yet? Just got mine. $1200
No. @Tyrsonswood there's a tool on the IRS website that's supposed to tell you when you'll get it. The only thing about it is, you have to give them your social security number. Get My Payment | Internal Revenue Service
Lol. For me though, it says that "according to what is on file..." can not determine my eligibility at this time. Well thanks! Lol.
Why wouldn’t you? ... unless you haven’t filed a tax return in a while or you make over $100k a year.
Social Security.... Poor... Just the type that fat cats love sticking it to. I did actually have to file last year to prove I didn't owe them taxes... But I haven't gotten this thing yet. Possibly never will.
Me too, this $1200 should cover some Costco runs for the next ...4 to 6 months, maybe? I usually spend around $200 - $300 a month there. I love that place.
Maybe next time I go I’ll get me that new rug (for my living room) that I’ve been eye-balling for a while now.
I live in the uk, but yes I have today received over £400.00, being my disability pension for the next four weeks
I suppose nothing's without its caveats In unprecedented move, Treasury orders Trump’s name printed on stimulus checks lmao. yuck!
I won’t get a physical check since it was direct deposited, but if I saw his name on a check, I’d probably want to rip it up.... I wouldn’t, I’d still cash it. lol
Probably a hidden watermark on the check that says "By signing this check you have placed your vote for Donald J. Trump... You may now bend the knee"
That whole "Trumps name is to be on the check" has delayed those checks by at least 2 days.... Yeah, he "cares about the people".... Bullshit.
@Tyrsonswood, Where's the money? Most Americans still waiting for COVID-19 stimulus boost I think if you get a check in the mailbox it could take much longer. You can still file though even if you don't make enough to require you to file. The problem you run into with some of the online filing programs is 1) of course they collect too much personal information & 2) they may not acknowledge your Social Security (1099-SSA or RRB) if it's not above a certain threshold, which defeats the purpose of filing. You want that $5,000, or however little an amount, to be recorded, even if it isn't recorded as income. Anyway, there are resources on the IRS website to file 2019 taxes totally online. They have a list of free filing sites to choose from. Some of them you have to pay if you want to file your state return, but the federal one is free.
My SSA is direct deposited... I don't have it yet.... I trust nothing a guy like Mnuchin says... That guy would steal money from his grandmother.
