#1) All the flowers and poetry and chocolates and teddy bears in the world can't mask the fact that sex is a messy, physically gratifying act. There's no way around it. It's not a "mingling of souls" or whatever the romance novels paint it as. It's sex. Sometimes it means something, other times not. I say this as a monogamist- one who is going on 5 years at a relationship with some intent to marry. You have to be careful with "romance." Unrealistic expectations spell doom to a long-term relationship.

#2) In the event that your sexual escapades do mean something, I think that the most selfless thing you can do for a person in bed (providing it is not a fetish) is oral sex. It's like saying, "I appreciate what you do for me, and I want YOU to enjoy this." So in a way, it could be viewed as the most romantic sex act...
