Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany... Anybody read this? It's been ages but I still remember fragments of this book strongly. Some found it a hard read because of it's Schitzoid narration. I think I made it through this book twice... (shows where my head was at back in the late 70's/early 80's.) Should find a copy and start reading again. :2thumbsup: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhalgren
Thought you might like to have a copy. I was amazed at how well it fit into that box. Enjoy. I bought one for me too but don't know when I will start it. I have a few others lined up ahead of that one.
In hindsight I was far too young to truly understand this book, so it's on my re-read list sometime in the future. Not that I've gotten any smarter, but my experience will help me react more maturely.
The book was written as an experiment in writing. Just seeing where his mind would ramble to... It is INTERESTING, but overall a good look at what happens in a society gone totally anarchic.
