I'm not a big fan of this new comedy genre of movies or whatever it is. I enjoyed Anchorman, but after that I hated all of them. I'm sick of all this character acting crap. If you watch any Will Ferrell movie, he's always just the same pompous ass in a different profession. I just see Walk Hard as an extension of that.
I'd rather have my testicles eaten infront of my eyes by a vegetarian than watch a Will Ferrell movie.
My testicles are pure manly meat... that's where the paradox of a vegetarian eating them comes into play. (I did like Stranger Than Fiction... but that was before he sold the fuck out)
I kinda agree with Smelly Socks. The new generation of low concept American comedies aren't anything special.
It was after Taledega. How much more could he sell out then that? I think I've seen all Will Ferrel movies actually. I see a lot of movies though. Hundreds a year. I purposely watch bad movies. I watched Shoot Em Up today. Clive Owen smacking around a new born baby for an hour and a half.
It's all about them testies. I refuse to watch new American comedies... or 99% of anything new that comes out of Hollywood. (The only popular movie I want to watch is "No Country for Old Men" because everyone I know who has a good movie taste says that it rocks) I saw the preview for Shoot Em Up today. My Puerto Rican boss at work has literally the worst movie taste in the world, so it's hilarious. He rents everything new that comes out and goes for movies with as little substance as possible. He's very excited about Shoot Em Up. He'll probably rent it today and tell me all about it at work tomorrow... for an hour.
I got plenty more. Anyway, I saw Shoot 'Em Up in theaters, and it was just ridiculous. I love when he slammed the carrot through the dude's head in the beginning. Otherwise, it was just too much for me. I saw it because I generally like Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti. You want a good Clive Owen movie? Try Closer. Plus, you get to see Natalie Portman almost nude.
Closer ain't a bad movie. I don't see the big deal with Natalie Portman though... she looks like your average Israeli girl. I smoked a cigg with her once outside a theater in Tel-Aviv before she got really famous.
Another good Clive Owen movie is Croupier, Children of Men was pretty good too I thought Talledega Nights was somewhere near the worst movie I have ever seen for the 20 minutes I saw of it i would watch Walk Hard at home, I haven't seen anything at the theater for years
Croupier was excellent. I saw Taledega three times because my coke dealers daughter loved the movie. I'm watching Atonement tonight. It's very well reviewed, so looking forward to it.
I just got back from seeing that! And I was 8 minutes late so my overprotective stepdad is pissed. He'll get over it. Way too much penis for me.
I also think youd really like Winter Passing. oh, and youtube's 'the landlord'. Just kidding about the landlord.
