What do all suggest for a deoderant or deoderant alternative that does not contain aluminum. Don't want altzhimers.
You can try one of those salt stones. Baking soda is also great. You can mix it with baby cornstarch powder. You may have to reapply these though.
I don't sweat much at all, and I found those salt stones or whatever they are let me STINK! There are some deodorants which don't contain alumium, the health food store have them. Aluminum in the brain of Alzheimer's patients has never been linked to either aluminum in the diet or in cosmetics. In fact, in some Amish communities, where NO antiperspirants are used at all, they have a HUGE number of people with Alzheimer's. Actually it is ONLY the antiperspirant part which contains the aluminum. The deodorant part (or plain non-antiperspirant deodorant, like Mum) contains no aluminum.
if you dont want alzheimer's, then do some research about flouride. flouride does some weird chemical things in the body that bring aluminum into places where it shouldnt be. the crystal rock deoderant thingies have aluminum in them. it's not the same kind of aluminum as in regular deoderant though an alternative to aluminum deodorants is probably already in your kitchen. put a bit of baking soda on your pits, it'll soak up and neutralize any odor. i still use my rock crystal when i know i'm going to have a stressful day, but most of the time i just use plain old baking soda on my pits. and i dont stink.
I know sweating is a natural thing , and everything, but I am a super sweater in my pits. I don't mind a little, but I'm talking through my shirts. It's a little embarassing sometimes. I've tried almost every kind of antiperspirant but nothing works. Any ideas to reduce my sweating to normal levels?
Jason Deodorant ( That's the name of a natural product company I use and I really like it ) is my favorite. They have a few different kinds. Works beautifully for me.
sugmag, this is NOT "natural" but very excess sweating can be medically treated at least two ways. One, you can be given an injection of Botox, in most cases it will reduce or eliminate the sweating, but it is not permanant, and your insurance company probably won't pay for it (they won't even pay for it for my migraines) Two, there is a radical surgical procedure which actually removes your sweat glands. Obviously, this is only done in really severe cases, like when people can't get jobs because they sweat through their clothes all the time, or they are unable to hold things or shake hands due to constantly sweaty palms. I don't know of anything "natural" but I bet some people here would have some ideas.
sugrmag~maybe there's another underlying health problem and the excessive sweating is just a symptom. if you can afford to, go see a naturopath. sweating is a way that the body gets rid of toxins so you might have too many toxins in your system, or maybe another part of your body that's supposed to eliminate toxins isnt doing its job properly. it's always better to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptom. namaste
Thanks, nimh. I actually think it may be a genetic thing. My mom has the same problem. But, I'll definitely check into it.
i like Burt's Bee's kind its a spray has nothing bad in it. it also allows you to sweat still because you need to sweat otherwise you are holding toxins inside. maybe you sweat alot because of the chemical deodorents you have used and your body is trying to cleanse
http://www2.lush.com/ they sell deoderant and bath stuff. I dont think their deoderant contains aluminum.
hrm..just buy deodorant and not anti persperant...aluminum is in the anti persp and not the deodorant(i believe).
i agree with ital lightening...we use burts herbal deodorant...it has sage oil, lemon oil and lavadin oil...I have psoraisis in my arm pits, and when i sweat, the smell can knwck you out...i use this and it covers the smell without restraining me from sweating
