By a tiny margin, Denver voters elected to make possession (not sale or cultivation) of psychedelic mushrooms the lowest priority for police. Basically, it will be a ticket. What’s important here, is the same vote was how legal recreational marijuana got started.
I feel like I'm saying pop in a funny accent when I say poop. I don't think I've ever actually used the word poop irl
True, the ones I foraged for grew on wood chips and I believe one of the more common substrates for growing them is rice cakes.
The ones we call liberty caps here.. Psilocybe semilentisndndk.. I'm not even going to try to spell it.. They grow in the fields and feed on decaying grass roots
Fancy that. I saw something on TV about it recently. It was on Fox. The person they were interviewing knew his shit. He spoke with authority and said that mushrooms had concrete medical potential. The anchor changed the subject. It was weird. I guess they don't like the spin on that network. Doesn't fit the narrative. Anyway, that would be interesting if mushroom use were legalized. I'm reminded of the mushroom psychotherapy someone was in search of the other day. That would be one heck of a long therapy session!
Mushrooms are problematic for me due to my epilepsy, but the evidence for micro dosing is compelling and we still know so little about nature. I'm a fan of West Virginia mountains myself, but if Colorado keeps this up I'll be singing Rocky Mountain High instead of Almost Heaven!
They were legal in the U.K. until 2007. Then the law was changed. Back then I wouldn't have known where to forage for them wild.. Now I do, so I care less, but it's ridiculous to outlaw a natural fungus or plant that has been used by humans for thousands of years. Beyond what the law should be allowed to do.
The problem with the law is that money does all the driving when nobody can even agree on the definition of stupid. The US Supreme Court should be reduced to Three Stooges.
