These are the thirty-something "lost boys" and man-children who seem to be unable to find steady jobs and girls. Their surrogate daddy, Gavin Macinnes, has told them that they should be proud and find their way to manhood through right wing political violence, just like the Nazi brownshirts. Seems to be a plague in the Pacific Northwest for some reason.

But he’s become a parody, an alt-right cartoon.

That's how I reached my conclusion. He has claimed the opposite several times, but yeah.. I'm not an idiot. Just like to give people the benefit of doubt.

So the argument is invalid because the reason for the right's angry mob is different than the reason for the left's angry mob? I don't think you're missing my point here; I think you're avoiding it.

Okay. I'll give you that one. I forgot he claimed (yup, that's the verb I'm using) to be a Bernie supporter.
    And, no response at all.

Again, you may be trying on purpose to miss my point, but you know what I'm saying. There are rioters, racists, psychos and domestic terrorists on both sides. Stop playing into divide and conquer. Be better than them.

    Indeed.

This whole post is classic agitprop. The implication is that Dems would have taken to the streets if they hadn't won the House. No evidence. It's in support of the right wing talking point trying (with no evidence) to link Democrats somehow with mob rule. But it's so lame that nobody believes it, and Shaman gets frustrated and doubles down.

I did read it, he did tweet he was a Bernie supporter, he also said he wanted to kill Hillary, defend the Nazis, destroy mosques etc etc... How someone can read his tweets and come away with the feeling he was a Bernie supporter. Bernie does not represent what this guy stood for. The point is when it was time to march he took the side of the alt right. You painted it like he was a not from the alt right, when in fact he is. There are many famous people that tweet lies:)

FWIW: I am just getting ready for my family Thanksgiving dinner and your post reminded me of the in-laws.

i know nothing about this guy; this thread was the first time i even heard of a portland stabber. but it sounds like he's pretty thoroughly insane. maybe he did support bernie, and a bunch of other crazy shit that goes completely against bernie's ideas.

He was possibly a Bernie supporter before he became MAGA and started stabbing people.

'In a post three days after the inauguration of Donald Trump, Christian posted, "If Donald Trump is the Next Hitler then I am joining his SS to put an end to Monotheist Question."'

Portland suspect in courtroom rant: ' You call it terrorism. I call it patriotism!'

First Id heard about it too

People serious about blaming Trump for this guy.

Serioulsy, look at this crazy looking fucker.

I think some are in denial about it being about America itself, something that was building up before Trump decided to run for office

There is a lot of anger on the right and there are politicians and pundits willing to stock that anger – but anger clouds the mind it make it harder to thing rationally and that’s probably why so such coming from the right seems confused or contradictory.

One of those things is that it is the liberals and the lefties that are the really violent political group. I was reading a piece in the Guardian here is an exchange with a Trump supporter at one of his rally’s

I ask him who he regards as his political enemies, and whether “hate” is too strong a word.

“Not at all,” he says. “I have a deep and absolute disgust for these human beings.”

    Which ones?

He rattles off CNN, Soros, Clinton, Waters, Booker, “Pocahontas” AKA Elizabeth Warren, and others.

    Why do you hate them?

“They want to turn America into a socialistic country. It’s disgusting.”

I ask Spaeth how far he is prepared to take his hatred. In reply, he tells a story. The other day he talked to his sister, who is liberal and votes Democratic. He said to her: “If there is a civil war in this country and you were on the wrong side, I would have no problem shooting you in the face.”

You must be joking, I say.

“No I am not. I love my sister, we get on great. But she has to know how passionate I am about our president.”

Wow I think that Thanksgiving is going to be tense.

I was simply clarifying something misleading 6 posted.

Men going on shooting and stabbing sprees is certainly something in the American zeitgeist.

His eyes are too close together.

Which sounds like an asinine statement, but there is a correlation between craxy looking eyes too close together muthafarkers and violent crimr

How far apart should ones eyes be?

In inches please. Not taking kindly to metric is also in the American zeitgeist.

    Coincidence?

Coincidence or inbreeding in his genes leading to a generally unattractive appearance and propensity towards mental illness?

Oh please we are not going down the eugenics road here are we?

And really has unattractive appearance got a connection to mental illness?

Have I suddenly woken up in the 19th Century?
