This article says that the number of available and working gigolos has tripled since 2010. More women are hiring male escorts. Further, this article interviewed women who hired male escorts to find out they feel that trolling for one-night-stands in bars is too sleazy. They don't have the time to spare for a date. And they find that most men in their age group are bad in bed; they are after younger men.

I for one believe that the chase can be just as entertaining as the catch. I just can't see myself paying for sex ever. Even at the most kinkiest thing I'd like to try, I bet I could find someone to explore that with for free tbh.

I think though it's probably not a bad way for a female to go as long as the business is legit. It appears safer IMO.

On a more serious yet more cynical note

I never believed the garbage that women need an emotional connection. They just say stuff like that so they dont end up sounding as desperate as the guys....in regards to a certain 5% of them anyway

An emotional connection does make me feel less cheap and used if the sex turns out to be terrible. Personally, I like to feel like we are two consenting adults engaging in mutual pleasure (and mutual risk), not that he is just using me as a cum dumpster and then laughing at me with his friends.
