I live in between Newark and Wilmington. I am a graduate student and T.A. at U of D.

I just moved here a few months ago. I like this state more than Pennsylvania, where I lived before. The people seem more progressive minded (hip if you like haha). However, the drivers are insanely aggressive, which I am slowly adapting to. I ride a bicycle to get to campus, and riding on Kirkwood Highway is scary as shit sometimes.

I was born and raised in Wilmington, but now I live in one of the surrounding big cities. Good luck meeting new people - it can be tough if you're not around U of D.

    Hip minded people in Newark?
hmm.. let me know when you find them. It would thrill me to find them. I'm doing everything I can to get away from this place because of that. Cecil County had more open minded people.
Perhaps it's just the university students...

Hey there, SoulVibrations! Yeah, I gotta admit I've never heard of Port Penn (though I'm not originally from DE); but it's look like it's near the water which has gotta be cool. :)

Hey, Delawarians. Just checking in to see the new people here.

Dj Dilation- I know Elsmere. Ironically, I travel through it in order to get to my Suboxone doctor haha.

I personally like Delaware more than where I grew up (rural Lancaster county PA- aka "Amish Country"). The people here are much more down-to-earth and more 'classy' in a way. I don't know how to put it. I don't mean "rich classy", as I live in a very low income apartment complex with every race of people on earth (white, black, different hispanic nations, asian, etc.). It just seems like the people are more focused on living a happy life rather than some sort of phony utopian "shut out reality" life like in Lancaster.
