Definitions/tips for sticky

i'm planning on making a thread that will hopefully be stickied and answer some of the most common questions from new smokers (got the idea from the "greenie smokers" thread). i'm going to include common smoking terms and tips in it, heres what i've taken from the forums so far (not much) -

Resin – Black tar like stuff that builds up in smoking apparatuses.
Joint – Marijuana cigarette.
Piece – Refers to a pipe of some sort.
Bowl – Can refer either to the part of a piece that holds cannabis, or to the pipe itself.
Blunt – Either a hollowed out cigar filled with cannabis or (more commonly) a “marijuana cigarette” rolled with a blunt wrap (tobacco paper).




Don’t blow into the pipe/bong.
Don’t drink the bong water.
Don’t bring it to school.
Don’t trust dealers you don’t know.

1 ounce = 28 grams ($400)
1 "half" = 14 grams ($200)
1 "quarter” = 7 grams ($100)
1 "eighth" = 3.5 grams ($50)
1 gram = 1 gram ($20)

Prices are not fixed. They depend on potency of the cannabis; these prices would buy good quality marijuana.

A gram is enough for 2-5 joints, or 4-8 bowl-packs, depending on the size of the joint/bowl.

I would omit the prices. They are about double whats common around here. And before you tell me about the quality, I thought this was a general guide. Also, 1oz ususaly costs less than eight times what an eighth does. (Bulk discount or extra charge for small quanities) At least around here.

How to smoke in your room and not get caught!a lot of people question this).

First off you need some form of common sense, if you dont have that then you shouldnt be smoking Cannabis.

You will need:

-A hippy tube or a "sploof / spoof"
(To Make a hippy tube, you take a paper towl roll(or toilet paper roll) after it has been used up, and stuff it full of about 3 or 4 dryer sheets. You then exhale the smoke into the tube and the smoke then smells just like dryer sheets. Also you can put regular toilet paper in there to help absorb some as well)

-Incense

-Scented Candles

-Matches

-Towl or shirt

-Eye drops

-Breath Mints

-Axe(or something similar).

Now... A bowl or bong is prefered over joints because joints and blunts just let the smoke escape in the air, IMO for social smoking, joints are the way to go, its just really nice to pass it around, but if your smoking your weed alone, then the best way to go is bowls, because not only do they save weed, but they cut down on smell and smoke escaping into the air,plus they are reusable.

First thing. Make sure you have at least 30 minutes time where you wont be disturbed in your room, or bathroom, the longer the time the better, but try to go for at least 30 minutes. Close the door and put the towl down at the bottom against that crack. Have all your supplies with you so you wont have to make several trips and look suspicious. Light some incense with a match(match puts off smell unlike lighters) then light a scented candle(added effect).( In my experiences the best incense for this are Nag Champa and Sandalwood.) Then...Spark the bowl inhale and then put your hand over the top of the bowl to keep the smoke from escaping into the room, this usually kills the flame so you will have to relight, which is good because if you are using matches then the extra match smoke helps counter the weed smoke. Grab your hippy tube and exhale the smoke into it. Repeat this until you are high.

Becareful with matches and dont burn your house down, you dont have to use them. I just like to because it helps even more to counter the smell.

Then... if possible leave the incense burning, but dont leave the candle burning, blow it out and the smoke will go into the room and help cut down on the smell, get all of your weed paraphanelia up and put them in the safe hiding place, scan the room for any signs of marijuana, seeds, stems, bits of the bud, ashes, etc. Spray the Axe on you, put in the candy, gum or breath mints, and boom, there you go. You shouldnt get caught.

The best time to do this is at night when nobody is awake. And... Coughing... can get loud especially if you are a new smoker or its some real dank bud. Music can help to counter this, or... just cough into a pillow, it should muffle the sound.

EDIT:
With all these supplies you can lose track of them, a purple Crown Royal bag(whiskey) works well(thats what I use to use), or any kind of tin or shoe box, you can put all your stoning gear in there, just be sure to hide them well.

Also... the best way to smoke is in the great outdoors, especially if you fear you will be caught in doors and you know there is little or no chance of getting caught outside, so if you can just go outside! But take some cologne,eyedrops and mints with you!

 

I agree on them prices being way overpriced. That should be EXTREME dank or some funk. Dont shoot for dank on your first couple of buys. Its not as common, at least around here, and you could be tricked into paying for dank when it could really be mids or even shwag. And as was said in another post, Dont give your money out expecting a person to return, unless it is a very good friend.

(How to make a spoof - Wait till a roll of toilet paper runs out, grab it, go down to the laundry room and grab seven or eight dryer sheets, rubber band one of them on the top so it covers the hole, then crumple the rest up and push them against the covered hole in the toilet paper roll. You blow the smoke into the non-covered hole, and it comes out smelling like fresh laundry.)

- Incense or a scented candle

- Another candle

- Lighter

- Towel or shirt

- Air sanitizer (ozium) or deodorant spray (axe)

- Common sense

Lock the door. Put the towel down against the gap between the door and the floor to prevent smoke from getting out. This isn’t always necessary, depending on where you’ll be smoking in relation to the door. Have all your supplies with you so you won’t have to make several trips and look suspicious.

Light the incense or scented candle. This is not necessary, as you can eliminate most of the smell with other techniques, and even a bad idea if your parents are suspicious of your smoking.

Light the second candle. This candle will be used as a flame supply. Instead of using the noisy flint on disposable lighters to light the lighter and causing suspicion, push the butane release (red button) and hold the lighter up to the flame to light it.

Begin combustion of the plant matter. After you take your hit, quickly put your palm over the bowl (packing only half a bowl should keep you from burning yourself). This will put out the ember and keep any smoke from escaping (take a small hit after it goes out to clear and leftover smoke). If you need to cough, do it into a towel or pillow to muffle the sound.

Exhale into the spoof. Don’t forget! This is probably the single most effective way to reduce the smell.

Repeat until you are high.

Spray. Ozium is much more effective than something like axe because it actually gets rid of the smell, rather than just masking it. Don’t go overboard with this, just a quick one to two second shot is all you need. If you used a towel, you can wave this around to spread the spray around the room. Empty the bowl either out the window or down the sink.

Good job No victim No Crime.

Another thing is to be sure to smoke when the chance of getting caught is the smallest, like night time, or when nobody is home. But still take the precautions even if the house is empty because even though you dont smell the smell, it could still be lingering around.

ALSO NEVER consent to a vehicle search. You have the right not to let them do it, its in the constitution, no matter how much they ask just tell them. No You do not have my consent to search me or my vehicle. If they get a warrant then they can, but even if they threaten with a warrant, that doesnt mean they can get one.

Do not lie to a cop. Refuse to answer if you wish, but do not lie. (Lieing to a cop is a seperate crime.)
DO NOT INTERFERE WITH A SEARCH. Interfearing with a search (even if it is illegal) is against the law. Phyically touching a cop is assault. Assaulting a cop is a felony, even if he is performing an illegal search at the time.

$400/oz !?!?!??? Well, the fact that everyone here is telling the truth as they see it and disagreeing with each other shows the difficulty in quoting prices.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS:

Nobody is legal to search you UNLESS you are on probation, in a police station/jail, or they have a warant(which is unlickley if its only for weed, and your a minor) (correct me if im wrong)

so if the principal is going to search you for being high or somthing, they can't, tell them to have your lawer present and you always have the right to remain silent, this also works for police.(correct me if im wrong)

they can't do anything to you if you are infact under the influence and they have no evidence of it(like if they search you and you have nothing on you)

correct me if im wrong on any of this, this what i was told by my old probation officer.

nah, any time you come into contact with a cop he could search you if he has probable cause (e.g. - if he smells marijuana on you and is trained to recognize it...which the supreme court decided was legal a while ago...)

 

I don't know if you are right. But legal rights are for the court room. On the street or in school, asserting your rights changes little or nothing. Once they have searched and you are talking to a judge is when rights, what you concented to and all that good stuff comes up.

On the street, keep your mouth shut (once you have identified yourself) and concent to no searches. The cop will do whatever they want, do not interfear with them.

You must identify yourself and show ID if you have it.
Beyond that, you have the right to remain silent.
You should refuse to concent to a search.
If a cop asks "Whose pack is this?" and it is yours, it might be best to say "Its mine and you don't have concent for a search." If you don't claim it, there will be no one to forbid a search. A search to determine ownership will surely follow.

There are a variety of street law summeries avaliable online. (I assume) I would crib from them and/or link to them if I were you.

 

All I know is that it is NOT illegal to be high. I asked my police chief neighbor one day about weed laws and such. So far you are all about correct. One thing you must remember though, if a cop wants to bust you, he will find a way. That is a quote from my neighbor. They can call pretty much anything "probable cause". Red eyes, getting a smell of smoke, shady movements, just about anything. With this probably cause, they can search you.

About not being illegal to be high; as long as you have no possesion of drugs or paraphenalia, you are ok.
