I've heard/read quite a bit on this being an important date for humanity...some speculate the end of the world, or a huge spiritual evolution....anyone with thoughts or knowledge on this subject?!

Yeah...it's a pretty well-discussed topic in there. Personally, I have no idea what could or may happen...I'm hoping positive and I have belief that something will change, but what it could be, human or not, good or bad, I haven't a clue.

 

The world won't end in the year 2012.

See, people have thought the world would end in 2000, because the Y2K shit, and also, the mayan calendar ended too, but the mayan calendar has ended too many times..

and for a rumour about "Planet X" is fake. Planet X is suppose to be a big black hole that the earth would get sucked into, and all of humanity is lost. But im pretty sure it wont end, till another couple of hundreds of years Lolz.

 

The reason given by author and philosopher Terrance McKenna was that on December 12, 2012, everything imaginable in the human conciousness will happen simaltaneously. This is know as the timewave zero theory or novelty theory. In this theory the mass of humanity would become joined in a great collective. He also said there were other things that may not happen, or may all happen at the same time. Some of these ideas were that at that time, time travel would become a reality, also there would be the birth of self-concious artificial life, or even a UFO visitation. He also precicted that nothing would happen at all. I for one would like this to happen but i doubt it will become a reality.

 

For everyone that predicted something that actually happened, there was someone that predicted the complete opposite. But we don't talk about that guy. There have been a myraid of predictions of the end of the world. Because history repeats itself over and over and over, the "signs" are always around.
