I received a phone call tonight at 6:45pm The man on the other end told me his name was Matt & asked if I was (insert my name here). I told him I didn't know any Matt & that I'm not going to tell him who i am unless he told me who he was.

He just kept telling me his first name, we continued this back & forth a couple times Matt then said could you be an adult about this, he was First Primer Bank after telling him I knew who he was because the name showed up on my caller ID. I told him could you be an adult about this & call during normal business hours.

I then ask to speak to his manager he said sure & they had me waiting on the phone for 3 minutes or so. The manager Raechel was even more irate too me, I asked for Matt's & hers ID number she kept going around the bush asking me about my financal business until she finally gave it out.

    Matts ID is ZF2
    Raechels is T32

I told her I wasn't going to talk about my business handlings only to her supervier. She wouldn't give me his number, I then asked for a website I could go to & make a complaint. She gave me this.

    http://www.myprimercreditcard.com/

If you went there you'll soon find out it's a dead end but a bogus advertisment too other credit card sites.

Does anyone know where the complaint center is for first primer bank?

What else can i do to get this debt collector in trouble.

Matt told me he tried to reach me earlyer that day.
They have left messages on my machine before.
I told them when they first started calling me to freeze the count until i can begin paying on a later date which they haven't done.

I know a friend whoms worked for debt collecters many of them he said by law they can only phone you once a day. They can not leave messages on your machine. They cannot phone after business hours.

    Some help
    Thanks

debt agencies are usually licensed by states. In most states the collection agency has to be approved and follow a certain set of rules. It varies from state to state however. Check with maybe the clerk of court or possibly legal aid or something like that to find out which state agency is responsible for the regulation of collection agencies and they will be able to tell you the rules. By the way First Premier is slime.

next time they cal get your best retard voice going and start ramblin about like trains and shit.

i dont know how true all this is but this is what i have been told buy a loan officer of a bank that i know real well and a certified public accountant that i also know real well.but please make sure this is the truth before taking any of these actions!!!!i dont want to be responsible if it dont work that way in your state and you fuck up without checking it out first.i live in MA. and it may different depending on what state you live in

if it is a collection agency NEVER pay them!!!!always pay the company you owe!!!!a collection agency buys your debt for less than you owe.if you pay them it doesnt get your credit report clean.always call the company and make payment arrangements.also if you have a debt that is like 5 or 6 years old and you repay it,the 7 years of it being on your credit report starts over,in other words its there for another 7 years.leave it alone.its off your credit report after 7 years whether you pay it or not.

well do you owe debt or not? how fucking stupid are you?

if you owe debt, big fucking deal they are calling you and being rude, your credit rating is probably dropping on the daily, and in these times in this economy, have fun bud when you realize 5 years down the road you totally fucked youself in everyway possible

seriously, there is nothing more stupid then running away from debt and collectors

bottom line is if you do actually owe, and this isnt just some scammer and u dont owe, then you should shut the fuck up, because -NO ONE- is going to give 2 shits about your little complaint if you owe big money

    fuck people are stupid.

This is the sad truth. DON"T IGNORE THE COLLECTOR.

    IF YOU GOT DEBT:
Pay your debt if you have the money. Carrying overdue debt is killing your credit score which will done you next time you want to try to finance that house, car, tv, etc. It will cost you thousands of extra dollars.

IF you are unable, tell them the situation and ask if they have ways for you to make payments. Most places will offer some sort of payment plan(with astronomical interest of course) because they realize that if you don't have the cash, no amount of nagging/harassing will help. Also, if you make a good faith effort to repay, they will be less nasty to deal with.

A banker who used to work for collections told me that his office had 3 levels of collectors. The first level calls and is polite. If you start making a good effort, then this is where you stay. These people are allowed to extend payment times marginally(usually to keep utilities on) and are generally as nice as any other customer service rep. Level 2 is when they get more assertive and rude. This sounds like you. Level 3 is allowed to do/say annything that doesn't fall into the illegal category(see above post).

IF THE DEBT IS TRULY NOT YOURS:
Explain to the collector that you think there is a mistake and ask what can be done to remedy the situation. AND then follow up and make sure they remove it. Collectors call the wrong people all the time. It happened to me twice. Both times, it took a bunch of phone calls and conversations, but they dropped the debt because it truly was not mine.

However, if you just ignore them, they will report the debt to your credit agencies and then it becomes a real beyotch to take care of.

So, this is one of those times to quit whining and pay your debts, or act like an adult(where'd you here this before?) and maturely handle the clerical error.

ONE MORE THIING, what you described is not considered harassment. Annoyance, yes, but nobody is going to feel sorry for you and nothing will happen to the to collectors.

Don't pay your bill and get something for free!

Eventually the bank will sell your debt to a collection agency, they will fuck with you for awhile but can not do anything legal wise to you.

If this is about a car you are behind on payments with it will get impounded.

Eventually they will stop calling and you will take no knock to your credit, the debt will be erased in 7 years.

That was my experience dealing with banks, fuck them all I say! :cheers2:

^^^I'm not sure if this is a joke or not. But its horrible advice and the sign of a childish person who won't take responsibility. People like this are one of the major reasons the US economy is in the shits right now.

You bought something, now its time to pay for it.

Anything tangible will get taken away, not just a car.

The record will follow you. Unless you file bankruptcy, they won't just forget about it. And, even if you improve you credit after bankruptcy, you will still have it on your record.

Like I said if you file bankruptcy and 7 years later its off your record, Just like some people plea bargain felony charges to be removed from there permanent record after 7 years.

Mind you I didn't say all felony charges and I'm not saying it's going to solve all debt problems.

If your 25,000 in debt you should try find away to pay it off.

The smaller stuff If your able to I'd say pay it but if you find yourself in a hard spot I'd say don't get to worked up about it.

my personal opinion is when you take on debt you give your word to pay it back.. to take on debt then not pay it back shows so much about who a person really is..

it shows that person is weak, cant be trusted, and has no commitment to their word.

really is sad that a man cant be true to his word, that he wont honor his commitment.

oh and for the record, something no one has mentioned here, many MANY businesses now are checking your credit score as a standard part of their hiring process now for the very reasons i listed above.

How bad credit can cost you a job - MSN Money

no one wants a person who wont show the initiative and commitment to pay a debt they agreed to pay working for them.

quite frankly i wouldnt want any dealings with someone who walked away from their obligations, it shows they cant be trusted.

so remember that next time you go apply for a job and dont get it,your credit score may be the reason...

having worked as a collector i'll tell you this......the more of an asshole you are the more they want to call and harass you....when I was met with attitude and resistance it just fueled my fire and I would call them back randomly whenever I felt like it, i even called them at work-

man up and pay your debts, be nice to the poor guy trying to make aliving....he doesn't like calling you anymore than you like being called....

make payment arrangements and he'll get out of your hair.

adding interest or taxes to an unpaid debt is illegal by debt collectors.. interest can only be added by the original lender.. a collector is not a lender..

i don't understand how this is "harassment" to the OP. it's a debt collector wanting you to pay off your debt. you act like the collector is sitting outside your house, parked there all night, calling you relentlessly and following every move you make.

like everyone else says, take some responsibility and pay off your debt. why people in this country think they can buy things they can't afford is above and beyond me.

bottom line: inflow of cash must be greater than or at least equal to outflow of cash.
    it's not rocket science.

the easy way to avoid it is to pay cash for everything you buy like i do.but that also hurts your credit.my credit sux cuz i have never financed anything.i had a best buy card once that i used and payed it off everytime.i didnt use it for 6 months and they shut the card off.that brought my credit down.everything i own is bought and payed for.i spent enough money on my 1 truck that i couldve went and payed cash for a brand new truck.but instead spent my money on an older truck that i love.for some reason credit companies dont like to see that you have payed cash for everything you own.they want you to be over your head in debt.do not pay the collection agency, pay the company that the original debt was owed to.a friend of mine just went through this buying a house.it took him a month to get an old phone bill of his credit report cuz he payed the collection agency instead of the phone company.had he payed the phone company it wouldve been 2 days at the most to get it off the credit report.
