No, if it is the male who rapes, he should have his penis and testicles chopped off. If it is a woman, well, they should remove her clitoris, and sew her vagina shut. The punishment should fit the crime. Geez that sounds brutal.
you dont think people should get the death penalty? I am all for the death penalty in some cases.. if i had a child and anyone laid their hands on my child, they better pray to their god that they get the death penalty before I get my hands on them...
removal of prostate whilst the victim is concious, leave everything else intact, so they can still feel emotionally aroused, just don't leave them the equipment to get physically aroused or to be able to orgasm.......
No, you chain up the perp, then give the victim a rusty scapel, a taser, some rubbing alcohol, a BIC lighter, and then all the time that it takes for tetanus to set in.
The death penalty is barberic. The point of law is to protect not give people a dark ages sense of vengence. My main reason for being aginst the death penalty is there have been 99 people who have been aquitted from death row on DNA evidence. They all could have died, and they were mostly black. Unless we have a justifiable 100% way to prove that will never happen again, we don't deserve to take anyones life.
You're right, so it should be the purpose of society to protect its citizens, even the murderers, rapists, child molesters, and monkey fuckers. Especially when the African American community is disproporinatly wrongly convicted and murdered by the hands of society. If an innocent person has been put to death once, its happened too often to justify the death penalty.
well that sounds all nice and altruistic, but really, to know if that's true you'd have to know a great many statistics...... a great many, and I doubt studies have been done for most of them.....
I do know 99 people have been cleared on DNA evidence, so I'm betting its happened before. And the majority of the people cleared were black. Thats all I need for my position. I don't feel bad for putting murderers to death. I own guns, and I'd shoot someone if I needed to. I just don't think its societys purpose to murder in the name of some notion of revenge. We've moved beyond that, and especially if we've ever (which ya know we have... especially in the good old days) lynched an innocent person.
okay, I'll give an example showing hypothetical statistics in that I lack real ones, hate doing this, but I think maybe it'll give you an idea what I mean say 100 people are executed a year now lets imagine that there is a known statistic that says that of those, 5 are innocent, so that is 5 innocent men dead, now lets also assume we have another statistic that tells us how many people are killed in prison per year and whom they are killed by labeled by crime commited now take these lifers, who don't really have much in the way of more to lose, lets assume for a moment that they commit a slightly larger proportion of the in prison murders now lets further assume that many of these lifers were given life in prison for murder what would happen if these other 95 murderers had been set upon the prison population? I suspect that more than five people would die now these are completly imaginary statistics pulled from an understanding of the prison system from the early 90's when it was over-crowded to the point that they were pitching tents in the yard but I think it's a fairish extrapolation and shows the basic direction I would go were I to actually have statistics unfortunatly I do not, but you see what I mean, there is a situation where feasibly it could be "worth it" in a strictly mathematical sense in reality we do need to reform our court system, but that won't happen, so in the meantime the thing has to be reserved for the MOST severe of crimes
so we should feed and clothe and house rapists? spending more tax dollars on keeping them alive? makes perfect sense!
Techie, but prison murders are rarely treated the same, in fact, all thats likely to happen after the court hearings is an increase in the sentence *arbitrary life in prison terms for those already lifers* But for the most part, solitary would take care of all of that. And at least if we did discover that one out of ten thousand was innocent, he could still be freed.
