Sure, come hang with my family. I have an enormous extended family, so you would get the full experience. And you could tour New England during the colder months--nothing like old white churches and town squares decorated with Christmas lights and pine garlands. The smell of frost and crisp leaves in the air, the windows of historic homes glowing warm and yellow. It's a nice time.
Baked. I also prefer the jelled cranberry sauce that comes out of a can. I like seeing the ridges especially.
buy???? you cant "buy" any pumpkin pie that is worth eating it has to be homemade ...preferably by a mom...or a wife if mom is busy
You might be disappointed. We have more of a spanish traditional thanksgiving. We don't even eat turkey. I personally prefer the spanish over the american food but you may not, piaf.
Instant potatoes... a hard concept for Europeans. In America they dehydrate potatoes and they keep in boxes indefinitely. It's great stuff for the nuclear bomb shelter under the house Why would I make instant potatoes when I can get fresh ones that taste better and are good for you. Dehydrated potatoes don't seem to have any flavor, or nutrients other than starch. Ick.
Great for camping and backpacking as they are completely water free. They still retain most of the nutrients.
if i thought we lived in the same town i'd have e-mailed and headed over on the bus. you'r place sounds like fun. if i'd thought to find out and you lived within a couple hundred miles i suppose i could have come over on amtrak or what passes for intercity buses these days. i'm not totally anti-social. just not socially dependent. i'm not big on tv. i'd probably rather help with dishes instead. or sit out on the porch with the dogs. or if there's a yard or a park or a garden nearby. it makes me happy that there are still people in this world that offer hospitality like that.
