dead's best keyboard/piano player

    Me and my friends always discuss this. Who was the dead's best keyboard player? I always have said Ron, because along with jerry's guitar parts and phil's bass lines, he really gave them that really authentic sound

    Just curious of what all of you think

    Yea I have to agree with Pigpen, and then I would place Brent Mydland second

    brent mydland definitely...my brother traveled with the dead from 85 to 95 and partied with him the night before he died.:(

    pigpen without a doubt. mydlan's keyboards sound soooo cheesy sometimes. in my opinion the dead just sounded better between 68-73 than they did in the late 80's and early 90's so i might be biased.
