Wow..what a great show ..the last few episodes have been some of the realest reality tv I have ever seen anyone else like this show?
I like it. But I don't like fishing. Fish seem to be a luxury. So when they jump in the air because they have just bagged enough fish to cover them for three months, I feel like calling PETA. But I don't like PETA so I don't. Generally speaking I like watching grown men argue in a small room about fish.
No. Me neither. The possibility of being hurled over-board - due to violent storms - so I can catch fish seems the wrong way to go out.
I've heard and read that drowning is actually a very pleasant experience. I'm not kidding. But yea. Great show
I don't think so. Please don't ask what what series is on at the moment. It's just on at random times on a freeview channel.
When I'm at a swimming pool I get frightened when I enter the deep end from the shallow end unexpectedly. I can't swim. So I'm wading in the shallow end, and all of a sudden I'm like: "Christ, HELP ME! Wahhhhhhhh". Drowning doesn't sound pleasant to me.
That's because you're afraid that you're sinking. Many people feel that way due to fear. Once you've sunk and you've taken your first breath of H20, there's nothing to be afraid of Apparently it is quite peaceful though.
I'm going to go with it is not pleasant. People have experienced near death experiences which can be pleasant. You can't speak to a dead person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRO6H8puHF8"]YouTube- Deadliest Catch - Monster Waves Like I said...no thanks.
You're right. You can't. But about those who have experienced near death...if near death can be a pleasant experience, perhaps death can be even more pleasant.
Love the show, too!! Before the guys were on TV, Edgar and Sig came into the bar/pizza house I worked at a few times. Super nice guys and great tippers. The owner of the restaurant used to work with the Russian fishermen, so she knew lots of the crabbers, too. Before they all got famous, we used to see them in Seattle all the time when their boats were in. A couple of years ago, I also got about 50 ft away from the Northwestern cuz my friends lived in the marina that was next to it. I don't know if I can watch the episode with Phil dying. I loved that guy. My friend was also a crab fisherman for 8 seasons in the 90s. He's got some seriously crazy stories to tell, but he says there's nothing more amazing and tranquil once you accept that all you see is an ocean that can kill you. He's also a guy I would want to have with me if I were ever in danger. Never could do that job in a million years, though. Not because it's so dangerous, but because I'm a lazy fuck.
My favorite show... This is season was saying goodbye from familiar faces, and a lot of change. Hope the show stays strong for a few more years. I've been hooked since the documentary Discovery did before starting Deadliest Catch...I couldn't do it. and I don't know many that could.
