There's been a recent hoo ha in my country about the State Transport Minister getting caught visiting a "gay" sauna

This guy has been married for 30 years, 3 kids and now that this story has come out, gets the label gay. A lot of rhetoric in the media about his "life long struggle", "hidden sexuality" yada yada

I and my kind know that the establishment in question has a reputation for being the realm of old married guys, most of whom wouldnt label themsleves as gay, as is the case with most of these kinds of establishments, in Aus anyway

Just cos this guy visited a sauna, doesnt mean that he doesnt still bang the wife, has two mistresses, visits girl brothels every second week and only visits the male sauna once in a blue moon

And yet its now a gay issue. Which I find infinately frustrating, cos I know this guy isnt remotely close to what I and others are. If he's able to get with the opposite sex, it aint the same thing. And I dont say that to be elitist, it just aint the same thing.

From my perspective, it seems that this kind of dealio is fueled by mass denial of the rest of the population that this kind of behaviour, these kind of establishments are more about us, than the truth that its mostly about everyone elses dads

 

Strictly speaking, the guy might not be gay but he doesn't sound 100% heterosexual to me either.

I think I've only got one piece to the puzzle here. I have no idea what else was going on in his life or whether or not he was getting it on with his wife. We might all be surprised at the number of marriages out there that are really more like arrangements than anything else. There are all sorts of possibilities out there. Whether the man is gay, heterosexual or bisexual or whatever else really doesn't matter--at least not to me.

I'm sure that there are plenty of married men in sex clubs and bath houses. There are probably plenty of bisexual men there as well. There are also a fair number of men who are gay and are looking for a quick experience with no strings attached. It's difficult to say much about the guys who go to these places because they don't talk much about what's going on.

Even if the state transport minister himself is not gay, the sex he was having was gay.
