I've never used it, since a drug like Clozapine just doesn't appeal to me (I'm more for drugs enhancing my world, not numbing it), but a couple of my friends have recently been abusing it. I'm aware of the rare cardiac problems linked to it and possibility of weight gain, but does anyone have anecdotal evidence of problems from its use, especially mental problems? I want to build a case to show my friends why this drug isn't okay to consume on a bi-weekly or more basis. One friend has had psychotic episodes in the semi-distant past, but he seems stable for the time I've known him...I just feel that an atypical anti-psychotic drug is not okay to abuse. Is there evidence of it increasing psychotic symptoms or problems with cutting it out of your system after regular use? Thanks for any info on this drug, since it seems Erowid and Wikipedia doesn't have much data on its recreational use.
i dunno if there is any "recreational" use to this drug.. most anti-psychotics will make you feel like shit after you take them.. they are used by people with serious mental issues..
I have done this drug recreationaly a couple of times. I broke it up and put it into a beer. Usually one pill was enough just to give you a relaxing feeling. Nothing at all like opiates, just a enhanced relaxed feeling like you just got done f-ing your girl. As for negative effects, I have never heard or seen anything bad happen. However, I am sure if you google it, go to drugs.com, or better yet call a pharmacist (try walgreens), or even better call a poison control center, or drug abuse call center... As I am sure they will have ALL sorts of negatives to let you in on. However, the last two i suggested would be more likely to give you false information to try and sway to you stop using. For a more credible source, call a doctor or pharmacist, they are covered by confidentiality so they won't turn around to narc you out... just be honest with you question.
Yeah, call a doctor or pharmacist and tell him you are planning on using Clozapine to get high, and you want to know the risks associated with it, that is your best option. They most certainly will tell you what to expect when taking it to get a buzz. That is some of the worst advice I have ever seen, to this date. They are covered by confidentiality if you are one of their patients, but not if you just call up a random doctor. If you actually call your OWN doctor and ask him this question, that is just hilarious...don't expect him to EVER give you anything again, because he is going to note in your chart that you called him asking about using a drug to catch a buzz. He isn't going to want to prescribe you anything, in fear that you will try to use everything as a recreational drug. Anyways, there isn't much data about it being used for recreational purposes, because it has no recreational value. This medication has one of the longest list of side effects I have ever seen. Because of this, doctor's rarely use it, only as a last line of defense...and they start the dose REALLY REALLY low. It's not recreational, and it's not even recommended to take it for the disorder it's used for, because of all the complications related to it. Read the wiki page...after seeing that you won't think twice about trying to catch a buzz off it. If a drug has that many side-effects, and doctor's rarely even prescribe it for the disorder it is intended to treat, I personally wouldn't go trying to experiment with it to get a buzz...but again, that is just my personal opinion on what I would and wouldn't do. I also wouldn't call a pharmacist or my local doctor and ask him how the high is with it, but again, that is just me.
Haha...I know it has little recreational value, but they seem to enjoy it somehow. Of course, it just makes them zombies for hours on end. I guess it numbs you completely, being an axyolitic (sp?). They enjoy that somehow...Can make you do crazy shit one moment, and then pass the fuck out the next. They're limiting their usage now, I haven't seen them in a couple weeks cause I'm on campus. It's just so pointless, I agree. They're idiots. And they take extreme doses sometimes, I'm talking 5x the prescribed dose or more on some occasions (and it's for my friend's dad anyway.) But whatever, they know the risks. And I guess they've mostly quit, which is great.
