I don't know about the rest of you, but one of my favorites is "Dancer in the Dark". Bjork is the star in it(honestly, the most original and greatest singer on this planet) and it really shows how people you know can stab you in the back! I mean, some of the themes that aren't necesarily a main part of the plot are so true. Like how someone you've know for a long time hears from her husband something about you and she doesn't even question you; believes him without question. It really shows who your true friends could be or what might be under the surface. It also shows how creul our American system can be. Besides all the underlying themes, it also has an amazing/heart-wrenching plot to keep you interested(some say they were bored; I can see that if you don't like independant-like films because pretty much nothing happens in the first hour but Bjork is so multi-dimensional and the dances are so vivid and the dialoge and characters are so realistic, that I was never bored). And trust me, only watch this if you can handle it because trust me(I don't cry ofthen)but I cried for literally 30 minutes after watching this! I was near screams it so horrendous what happens to poor, sweet, comical Selma. See it and it will LITERALY make you question what you do daily and how we live our lives. Bjork is a godess; the God of the late 20th and new coming 21st Century!
There was just a thread on this...check, like, the 2nd or 3rd page. I'd post you a link if I knew how
