so i have one of these things which is like a hair follicle only slightly larger. saw a dermotologist and he says they are completely painless, non contagious and basically nothing to be worried about problem is i only really have 1 option, a 15min surgical procedure in which i get numbed, have it cut out and get stictched back up. waas told there'd be no mark after i heal though i have read a scar is possible. never had surgery before and not sure if i want to do this has anyone had one done before? or know of alternatives to surgery (one i read was heating pad to area for 15mins for 10 days, currently working on it). i really dont want to do it since it doesnt cause problems other than just being there, but also dont want my gf to see it. its about this size => O
Take some long soaks in the tub, and wait a month and see if the problem resolves itself before you have surgery.
Ive had cysts before there really common, you can get them anywhere sometimes people dont know even theve got them. There harmless so you could just leave it, but if you want it removed its only a small procedure and its worth doing, it may scar but i doubt it will be noticable. I had one under my bottom eye lid, it was only tiny but i got it removed i was still awake any i didnt feel anything it was fine.
Years ago, I had an infected pubic hair which ultimately went away, but it left a little bump in my pubic area, which is probably the scar from the cyst.
how was the recovery in terms of time and pain? also im not too excited about this anesthetic theyre to give me, i think its via a needle shot . is that right? thanks for the replies, this thing has been annoying me for quite a while now
The cyst was like a boil, and I had to squeeze the pus out, and it healed, leaving a bump. Little pain after the squeeze, about a month from the time I realized the cyst was there to the end of the process. No needle or doctor, just me and my cyst.
