cutting one large .AVI in to smaller peices

    Anyone know how to do it or if software is needed where I can get it for free?

    hey juggalo4ever,

    let us know how that virtualdubmod worked for you.

    I'd say just import that avi file into your vid-edit software and then cut pieces into their own project and export as .wmvss I guess you got a lot of time in front of you unless you got a G5 which I understand renders in real time.

    Hi juggs, I would try reencoding it into wmv before chopping it up. You might have better success... If you're talking about the vid I think you're talking about, I can shrink it for you and post it on your yahoo group if you want to send it to me...

    you can also use windows movie maker to edit video

    To that 3 people above: Reencoding to wmv is stupid. It takes long time and quality is worse than original. Virtualdubmod can split avi, ogm and mkv files without reencoding, so it takes only few seconds and quality is exactly same as original.
