Is it hindu, or shinto? I think those are all symbols of peace, actually.

sounds like it represents eternal peace. don't know if it also represents an organization or not. the swastika wasn't always synonymous with nazis. it has been a spiritual/religious symbol since ancient times all over the world.

Yeah, I saw a black man once with a large tattoo of a swastika on it's arm. I found it pretty strange at first too.

it is a symbol used in many religions, but i think the one people most identify it with is buddhism....look it up. It is actually a very positive symbol, only distorted recently by hitler

Its from sanskrt and it means sth that brings luck, like a charm or whatever u call it. It was first a religious symbol in hinduism, and later in buddhism.

its been used for 1000s of years in many cultures. the word swastica is derived from a word meaning well being. it was a symbol representing positive things, it just has negative connotation since the nazis used it
