Cuddle Parties!!!

I really want to go to one...How do you find them in your area?

I think Bill Maher said it best on last week's episosde of his HBO talkshow, Real Time with Bill Maher, during the "New Rules" segment at the end of the show.

"New Rule: Cuddling is for girls. The latest rage in New York is "cuddle parties," where grown men and women put on pajamas and just cuddle. Pardon me while I throw up. Participants say it's not about sex, it's about intimacy. No, it's about sex. You're just so neurotic and emasculated that you've decided to skip the screwing entirely and go right to the boring part afterwards. The only time a man should say, "I need a hug," is if he's choking."

A couple of my gal pals and I used to do that sometimes, just lay ontop of each other (usually while watching a movie) but that was 3 years ago, back in gr 11. I think it's fine to cuddle with your friends when it comes naturally, though it does seem a bit bizarre to me that you would have to arrange a party specifically for it.

wow no offense but I'm a little creeped out after seeing that site... pay to cuddle for hours with complete strangers? Not my style but then again... each to their own. Hope you find one near you.

 

I'm a guy who likes to cuddle and i would probably be down for a cuddle party, but not one where I pay money to cuddle with strangers. It would have to be people I've known or someone I've been able to bond with on some sort of level. And I definitely wouldn't be paying for it. Hell, I should throw a 'holding hands' party and charge $10 per person for that! And maybe a 'looking into each other's eyes' party for only $5 per person. sheesh!

Aww..that sounds neat. I love to cuddle. It might be cool to go to one of those, but I have the girl I'm datin' to cuddle with, and about a zillion lesbian friends to cuddle with, too. lol. All in good fun. I like to cuddle with guys too...but girls are more cushy.

Cuddling is nice with 2 or 3 people, I couldn't fathom a cluster-fuck of doofy cuddlers. Especially if I'm paying to have some cuddling freaks NOT dry hump me?

I guess it's a nice idea... I'm suprised people actually do this. Some new underground revolution. FUCK RAVES! I'M GOING TO A CUDDLE PARTY!!?

 

OK, i have to say i like the barefooted nature of it (from the photos i saw, almost everyone was barefoot), but that's about it..... sorry, not my cup of tea.

 

Those cuddle parties are located in NYC. If you want one where you live, you'd prolly have to start one yourself.

After reading more about it, I don't think I'd be able to handle it. I mean, damn, dry humping at the LEAST, please?!

 

I think it's a cool idea but I would never go to one. No alcohol though...PLEASE. I think it would be fun to do if you brought a group of people you knew. I used to always cuddle and sleep in the same bed as my friends in highschool regardless of gender and it was non-sexual...I miss that. It's ashame that what's appropriate at 15 isn't at 23.

 

who's to say what's appropriate and what's not? I'm 30 years old and I'm still completely fine with cuddling with my friends. I admit that I don't do it too often because some people may take it the wrong way and see it as being related to sex and i don't want to give the wrong impression. But for those who really know me and feel the same way, we cuddle all the time.

I think the reason peopl get the wrong impressions is because a lot of guys focus too much on the sexual implications of such an activity instead of embracing the emotional side and the comfort of it. Hell, I'm looking through these posts and see that most of the guys aren't for this, but most of the girls are. What's up with that? Don't you guys know how to be close to someone without having to get off?

If any of you would like to cuddle up with someone, I'll be your personal teddy bear.

 

no way, that whole thing seems rediculous...i mean its exploring touch, but no dry humping, and no sexual touching...pff...thats what most of touch is. i'd be down if there was a no orgasming rule but nothing of anysexual nature just kills it. and if theres no alcohol i assume theres no giant cuddle party joint going around either...pfff screw that.

 

I cuddle my friend Caroline all the time (earlier today in fact). And my sister. Nothing sexual at all. - but there is emotion there. i love my friend and my sister, and so i show that when i see them..... I don't need to pay $30 to cuddle someone I've never met before.

Nothing wrong with cuddling, but it depends on who you're cuddling. and why.

 

I can agree wtih you about the $30. My comment mostly applies to those who don't cuddle without sex and to those who think it's inappropriate to cuddle unless it's with a significant other.
