Hey guys!! I hope this turns out to be a great thread! Anyways, I just bought 5 Cacoxenite crystals! I'm so excited because I have been a huge beliver in the metaphysical and healing properties of crystals and other stones and I just love rocks! I have amethyst crystals which is my birthstone and a very heavy piece of beautiful petrified wood. Back to the point. This will be my first purchase and I want to start a collection of some of the best of the best and I'd love to learn more about what i can do with them. My next purchase will be a good quantity of danburite, since it's one of the highest Vibrational minerals, the some blue kyanite and last but not least Some quartz golden healer crystals. Let the stone discussion begin, what else should I look at?
http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Unpolished-Smokey-Quartz-Crystal/dp/B002ISK48A"]Amazon.com: Natural Unpolished Smokey Quartz Crystal Rock: Everything Else Wow! What does this do? And what variety of tourmaline do you like? Also I'm having a hard time finding a stone with a vibrational number of 2,which is my number, can anyone help?
Also can you give any links to websites regarding descriptions of stones? The ones I look at look kind of cheesy/commercial....
That link isn't a double terminated crystal... A double terminated Quartz is also known as a "Shaman's Stone". But it has to be natural and not cut. Tourmaline.... Black. It blocks negativity.
I'm currently wearing a piece of malachite I wire wrapped on a necklace and a necklace I made of hematite, garnet and copper beads with a sunstone at the center. I almost always have a piece of flint on me somewhere as well. I wear what feels good to me at the time. I don't know anything about vibrational numbers of crystals and such. I'm much more of a rock kind of person than I am a crystal or gem person. I find a rock I like, I keep it til it chooses to move on. Read an interesting book a couple years ago about the language of the stones, was by an Objibwa medicine woman. forget the title of it off the top of my head tho. Cunninghams encyclopedia of gems is pretty useful. I find a lot of info on the internet is often copied from this book. I happened to go to a gem and rock show last weekend, it was overwhelming and confusing to me. to many people too much noise. I did enjoy the meteorites tho. I walked out with only a small purchase of a garnet about 1" in diameter and mostly spherical for a couple bucks. I'm trying to get away from the trappings of things and more into the essence of things. I've rambled on. sorry. ~peace
Love Is In The Earth - by Melody is my crystal "bible". This might be a good online source. It has searches for the stones attributes. http://www.healingcrystals.com/
I'd recommend Hematite, Garnet, Citrine, and Amethyst along with the Tourmaline and Smokey Quartz that T mentioned. Amber, Carnelian, Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite and Apatite are nice to add too. Serpentine... Jet...ooops, you got me started.
I have a crystal quartz that i bought at a shop a while back, not sure if it's legit. I also have a rock that i believe is onyx, not entirely sure. I will look up the shamans stone. What else do you have in your collection?
I agree with this. I have never bought rocks or crystals online. I like to pick up and hold the stones before I buy them. We have a couple stores within a half hour drive that I would go to. One is a rock shop the other a metaphysical shop that is so peaceful that I just love walking in there. It has been a while since I have gone to either. Maybe it is time for another road trip.
I am so excited, I have so much energy using these stones I picked up today from fairy fest. I was able to find tourmaline and quartz, blue kyanite, fluorite and some bismuth lol Can anyone tell me about bismuth? It's grown and has very high vibrations, the guy said any higher and it would be radioactive. Could this possibly put out negative vibrations? I cannot wait to get this CacoXenite
I miss crystals. I haven't owned any in, like, forever... that I can remember.. had purple ones, at times..
Cool. Quartz comes in all colors depending on the other minerals in the area where it is found. Aqua aura is also quartz but somehow infused with gold. I have an Aqua Aura Zuni Bear and a chunk of turquoise hanging from my rear view mirror. It reminded me of that because it has a tinge of green to it.
