OK so I made this recipe completely based on what I had on hand, I did, however, buy corriander and tortillas for this recipe. The topping sauce didnt quite turn out, seemed more like a spaghetti sauce, but if you make the meat recipe, OH MY GOD, it's such good pork. I am officially proud of my carnitas meat. I spent one day making meat and whatnot, and then made the meal the next day.
No, I am a virgin. I never had to eat what I didn't want to when I was a kid so I just never tried it because it didn't look good. I've never had beef either. I could never do beef though, ever.
while I find that commendable parenting(mostly), I cant believe bacon never tempted you.....(OK I can believe, but it doesnt make me less flabbergasted)
I've had turkey bacon before and I accidentaly had real bacon because i thought all bacon was turkey bacon and the real stuff made me gag a bit and I couldn't swallow it. But carnitas look more like chicken, even though I know they aren't.
