I learnt this stitch a couple weeks ago. Its pretty interesting, would be good for an afghan or scarf. It's really chunky! I am just going to give instructions for a single "stitch".

Use a "G" hook though, and worsted weight yarn.

    Ch 9

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across.

Row 2: Ch 5, skip 3sc, work 5 trebles in next st, ch 1, skip 3 sc, 1 tr in (what should be) last st. turn. (if it isn't, then I told you to chain too many!)

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in 2nd ch from hook and sc across row. turn

Row 4: Ch 5. Skip 3 sc. Work 5 trs to the last step in next 5 sc, (keep last loop on hook so there are 5 loops on hook at end of the 5 tr), yo and pull through 5 loops, yo and pull through last 2 loops. Ch 2, skip 3 sc, treble.

thats the stitch. Whew! If you have any questions, or my instructions aren't clear, just ask and I will try to clarify!

    Good luck!

I took a couple pics of the stitch I made up as making out the directions, and they are in my gallery!
