so i wasn't planning on officiating any game today, but 1 of the officials never showed up for a game and I was called to see if I could rush in to fill in. I was called at 3:30 by my dad asking me this. I said if i can get to the field i would. So he came and picked me up. I get there at half time and talk to the official. He tells me he's been letting them play, not too many calls, a bit physical...which is fine, i wan't going to try and change the game. Well,the game got more physical, more swearing, and there was almost a pretty big fight. i ended up giving out 2 yellow cards (cautions) for unsportsmanlike behavior - swearing at me. craziness. glad i'll be dealing with JV girls tomorrow haha
