umm...i just made them and feel good about them, so i decided to share.

apx. 1/3 cup oats, put into blender to create rough flour
1/2 cup flour, either white, wheat, barley
bunch o sugar (i use about 1/2 cup)
    vanilla
1/3 cup sweet potato puree (it's great- don't skip this part- you just boil the potato (about one medium sized one) and then stick it in the blender)
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1/4 cup oil
maybe some soy milk if you need it to be a bit moister - won't hurt.
    nuts, choco chips, etc.

bake 30 minutes, rotate, bake 10 more.

for a splendid icing to follow:
blanche 1/4 of one lb tofu (this is bout 1/4 package - boil for a couple of minutes, to heat and remove flavor)
food process this with 3 tbsp generously of peanut butter
    3 heaping tbsp cocoa powder
    some sugar
    vanilla
allow to sit in fridge for a little, or add onto brownie mix and bake along with brownie for an interesting top layer.

Ah but unfortunately bud brownies are better in a high-fat solution (i.e. butter).
