Hello everyone, this is going to be kind of vague
since I dont have much time to type this out and
the crashing Im going to explain spans across
    many different dreams.
But, ever since I was a young child I can remember
having very vivd dreams of watching planes and
    jets crashing.
The most disturbing one occured about 5 years ago
where I was sitting on top of a hill overlooking a very
large valley with a group of friends, and I was watching
a passenger plane go by, sort of low flying, and it
explodes in the air and the peices obviously went flying
everywhere, and I will never forget how loud the sound
was in that dream. Just crazy, I dont know.
But last night I had a dream that I was visiting my Aunt's
house and while we were standing on the porch talking
a passenger plane came slamming out of control into the
field to the east side of her house, sitting by a forest.
I just remember seeing the plane coming down, so big
and so fast, completley out of control, and the noise
again was so loud and overwhelming, and the blast of
the impact caused me to fall down, but as usual, I woke
up immediatley after blacking out when my head hits
    the ground.
And to be honest, I have to admit that I have always
had a severe fear of flying.
I've been on a seaplane once, to take a little tour
over a lake in New Hampshire, I was 9 at the time and
on a family vacation. My mom sort of talked me into
getting on and I clearly remember being frozen in fear the
entire flight, I couldnt cry or anything, but I sat there
shaking and sweating until it was over, and I only
oppened my eyes once and felt like I was going to throw
    up.
It's not a fear of heights, Im pretty sure, as I have no
problem with rock climbing, but the fear of the plane
losing its power or whatever faulty things happen that
    cause it to go down.
And I dont know if these dreams are telling me anything, or
if it's just my one and only worst fear being played out
    in different scenarios.
The only reason I am bringing this up is because I have
had many, many dreams of plane crashes, but in every
single one of them, I am an observer on the ground and
very close to the site of impact. But never have I actually
been on the plane to feel the fear of flying.
Well, just looking for some ideas to make sense of this!
    Peace and love my friends,
    John ~

Im not good with the dream interpretations but I think I would be afraid of flying too if I were constantly having these kinds of dreams.
I hope white feather reads this, he's great with the interpretations and with him I've learned that things that seem to be bad usually arent.. so it might have a completely different meaning than what you think.. I dont know.
I dont think I said anything that helps with the dream... but I can hug you

    Thanks Iliana :) ~
I dont know, I kind of dont like talking about
it so much because it is such a paralyzing fear.
But I felt like I had to bring this up today.
I dont know if I can ever get on an airplane, I
think I might actually become unstable.
I woke up crying from this dream, like not crying
but my eyes and cheeks were all wet.
And Im kind of embarassed about crying, but
this is the one fear I have that I cant control myself. :&

you dont need to be embarassed about crying, it's ok. It's just an expression of an emotion like laughing. Maybe if someone that knows about dreams gives you an interpetation that you feel its true, maybe that can help you overcome your fear of flying.

Well I hope I can overcome it but I dont think its just
from my dreams, I dont know.
I feel it in my heart this idea that I can never get
on a plane, but these dreams just make it so much worse.

this has nothing to do with your dream john but i thought i would share it anyways...

i was watching on TV the other day footage of when that plane full of passengers couldn't drop the landing gear in 2005 (remember that?) anyways, they circled the airport a few times before they made an emergency landing. they still had some of the landing gear down, but i guess it wasn't all of it.

they touched down and hit the ground going probably 300 mph and the wheels were burning up and breaking to pieces because they were going so fast and they couldn't slow down. and there was actually a guy inside the plane that got footage of the landing from the passenger's perspective. after i saw the vid, it made me so happy to see them eventually stop safely. i was crying and laughing at the same time. i was just so happy to see those people alive even thought the event happened a few years ago haha. it really touched me in a way i can't explain haha.

it also made me scared of flying. i think now i would probably be just as afraid of flying as you are.

but then again, the dream may not have been about planes. maybe the planes in your dreams represent something other than an airplane. if you'd lived in a time before planes, would you dream about planes? or would it be the same dream with some other mystical 'person/place/event' crashing to the ground?

I wonder what these panes can represent though
    ?
hmm..... I really dont know! Im not too
    good at interprating dreams :&

I dont want to put too much thought into something
that may or may not be the truth, but that may
    actually hold some weight.
It would definitley explain some things...

fear of flying is a fear of life fear of living life to its fullest & fear of breaking bonds that hold you back, crashing over & over represents failure..inability to reach your goals..the fact that your not on the plane but an observer shows u feel u have no control over the situation but simply sit back & alow catastrophies to happen
dreams of flighing repressent overcomming obstacles, rising above all that hold u back & reaching for ultimate freedom.. the planes are meanningless as objects, its the failure at flight thats important..the crash..the inability to reach your goals ..& the paralyzing fear prevents you from even trying to hard...ultimately its a dream about failure.. the plane comming apart in mid air is your life spiraling out of control to the inevitable crash
both your fear of flying & of failure are 1 in the same fear & overcomming them will go a long way towards eventualy overcomming other obsticles in life that have held you back..
flight is such a silly thing to fear since flight is ultimate freedom..breaking the bonds of even gravity, gaining freedom of movement in all 3 dimensions instead of the limmeted 2 dimensional movement along flat ground.. & flight is taking ultimate control of your destiny, instead of being slave to the forces that keep you stuck in 1 place

Well, ultimate freedom may be flying, but I dont see
flying in a mechanical bird at the hands of anothter
human being as freedom, more like expediated travel...

I also have a very real, living fear of driving in cars, though
I dont have much of a choice but to deal with that one.

But that also didnt seem to become actualized until
somebody ran out in a suicide attempt into the side of mine.

at the hands of another... whats wrong with putting yourself in control?
fear of driving, again fear of reaching goals, better to be stagnant & immobilized then to set out towards a destination you may never reach

Well, maybe your right. I dont know, like I said Im
no good at making sense out of dreams.
But at the same time I dont see myself holding
myself back in attaining my goals in life.
As far as Im concerned I am a good father to
my son, I study on God at every moment Im
am in a waking concious state, I made it up
to a management position at my job and I work
my ass off for what little I have, of which I end
up giving away out of love.
I dont see what goals I am preventing myself from
    acheiving that your talking about.
I think a fear of flying is a rational, justified fear.
Like driving, I was never afraid of getting into a car crash
until I went to jail falsely accused of recekless homicide
and the day I got out was spent scraping the blood out
of the back of my car and picking brain matter out of the
    seats with my bare hands.

Since it was 5 years ago, was there a very momentous event in your life a few days, weeks or months after that dream?

Usually all cars, planes, trains, buses, etc., denote our mental state. in this case flying could denote "flying high," "feeling very happy". The meaning would then be obvious - life is going great, you're feeling very happy and then BAM! you're shot out of the air, you come crashing down to Earth, you become depressed and despondent.

You just have to accept that everything goes in cycles, that just as you go through a happy cycle, you will go through an unhappy cycle. You just have to remember that it is a cycle and that it will eventually turn around.

Since this was actual crying and not crying in a dream, it truly represents a fear or the realisation of a loss, usually a loved one.

The thunderstorms of the mind are truly very reflective
of ones mental state, impressed in vibration on the flip
    side of life.
Accumlation of clouds in the mind most definitley block
    the revelation of the Self.
If Im being held back by anything, it is my succumbing
to the will of what my heart is after, Oneness in the Sea
    of God's essence.

perhaps it represents a hidden fear within yourself. Something you might need to conquer :) i have had nightmares and dreams about falling off a cliff...and a couple years ago i went bungee jumping with my dad...i still have a fear but the dreams havent came back.

But "falling off a cliff" just represents the dashing of the best made plans.

There is a big difference between a warning dream (prophecy) and a mundane dream concerning "every day" affairs. I leave it up to the individual to be able to decipher the difference.
