WEll.. could you? After finding so many new friends and spending most of your spare time on here.. Could you live without the internet? Honest Answers please
no....i've gone from weird looking metal guy during my 15th year to partgeek student type...whereas some may blame generally growing up for this i blame the internet for my decay into g33kdom just like you miss ellie, ya big geek stink pants har harrrr
I'd rather live without beer if forced to choose. Or possibly chocolate! I tend to find it invaluable for really boring, mundane things like banking, shopping, checking cinema listings, booking trains..... shit, how the hell did we ever get by without it?!?
yeah...it would be hard, at first cos i know i rely on it for communication/headlines/tickets etc... but i could live without it and be happy, if not happier.
aye, it would be hard... but maybe after a (long) while without the internet i think i could learn to manage without it... i think. ahh i've done it before, how difficult could it be?
Yea i think i could... i think it kind of hinders me if anything :S .... but thats not to say i dont love it and im not ADDICTED!!!!
See, looking at it that way makes it a meaningless question. You could live without just about anything. The question then becomes not could you live without it, but would you want to live without it, and how much would you miss it.
seeing as i only use the net to visit hipforums and get stuff off ebay i'd manage quite well with out it coz i have the mobile numbers of people in here i want to speak to and ebay is just something i do when i'm bored. i would probably be a lot better off without it. i just had to get a third job this week to pay for my car insurance coz i spent all the money i'd saved for it on ebay!! peace and love stardust xxx
ive thought about this quite abit lately. no i couldnt live without it. its so useful for so many things, paying for things, making money - ebay! shopping without leaving the house when youre busy - ebay. searching for information when the library might not have what you want etc. however, ive been using it less and less lately....and instead been doing more writing/arty bits and bobs. wanna start using it even less if i can. but its good to know its there when i need it. like how did we ever survive without mobile phones? - who knows! *shrug*
No way..not anymore...Keep in contact with too many people via it, would lose touch if didn't have it...Also has given me a chance to find out about things and see things I never would have before.... I would like to spend less time on here.......but couldn't live without it...no way!
still several days ago, I thought I could never live without it, but now, when I'm mostly with my friends from school or so... and i haven't so much time to be here, as sooner, so I see, I COULD live without i-net..
I doubt I could. I could for a while, quite easily, and like taking breaks for a time. But in the long-term, nope, it's an essential communication tool....
I like it as I met all you guys through it... It's nice to pop in Hip Forums and have a nosy round and post a little I also plan and book my adventures through the internet so it's been so useful in getting my to places and meeting cool people whilst I'm there! It's good for researching artists and bands etc... and ordering cd's and old films etc. I got Jim Morrisons HWY off the internet and for that I am truely greatful I think the internet is great for so much.. I think I stay on msn too much chatting to friends though.... I end up late for work and it gets me into trouble I could live without the internet... but wouldn;t want to, it's too useful to me. Love Clairexxx
Yes I think I could. I'm gradually drifting away from the things that I used to love on the internet. When I leave Preston after my exams I doubt that I will bother getting the internet again. It was great for a while and has lead to many wonderful things...but it shall soon be time to move on.
In the past year I've made friends overseas whom I've visited and chat with on a semi-daily basis. If not for the internet, I'd be spending way too much money on phone calls to the UK, Netherlands, Ireland, etc. I value my friends and so I cannot give up the internet.
