I feel sick alot especially at night, I have weird random cravings, my boobs hurt and you can see the viens very well, i experienced light random cramps that feel period cramps (but no spotting) when my period is nowhere close, im tired all the time, and my temperature has been high lately. i started taking birth control pills april 18th, the sunday after my period started. But I had unprotected sex before then and everyday since. I often take the pills a couple hours off and once I missed one (very bad memory). I know all the symptoms listed above could be due to the birth control pills but you never know and I want to be sure. I don't feel like waiting till the middle of may to take a pregnancy test so when is the earliest you can take one?
Go buy one. As early as the next day. Also, the pill isn't as effective until you take it for at least a week. Some say the first month. Best of luck to you.
The symptoms sound like those of your body getting used to the pill. You'll experience them for awhile until your body gets used to it. My best advice would be to not take the pill on an empty stomach. Remember, the hormones the pill puts in your body are the same as the hormones that you have when you're pregnant, so a pregnancy test would not be at all accurate. Your best bet is to talk to your doctor and see if he or she has any concerns.
The pill is only, what 98 or 99% effective even when used correctly. So there's always a chance of beign pregnant even while on the pill if you're sexually active. As for preg tests, each are a little different. Just read the back of htem or ask the pharmacist and let them know when your last cycle was. They'll be more informed as to the intricacies of the brands involved than we are.
that seemed kind of rude....she wasn't asking for criticism, she was asking if she could be pregnant.
If you think you might be pregnant, stop taking your pills now! If you are, they might hurt your baby. Go to the drugstore and get a pregnancy test.
well, considering they're usually required as part of the process.... Look, just because this forum is designed to deal with women's issues, doesn't mean it's an excuse to shut down the men on here. So just simma down, hey?
Totally not true. Being on the BC pill does NOT effect the accuracy of a pregnancy test. There are HCG hormones, which is what the Pregnancy Test looks for, and birth control pills DO NOT contain HCG. The pill contains progestin and estrogen. (or just progestin) Preg tests do NOT test for the presence of these hormones. They ONLY look for higher than normal HCG levels. With the new, low hormon pill, you HAVE to take it at the same time every day. Just having sex every day should be a reminder enough. Set an alarm (you can get drug alarms which go off at a set time to remind you, and you may carry it with you) and with the newer pills you have to take it a month before it works properly. I can't tell if you are pregnant or not. But, if your period is at least DUE or a few days late, a good pregnancy test can tell.
Wow, neat, that's good to know, I actually was told otherwise. I'm glad to be corrected, lol. Thanks.
They know as much as any of the women in here who haven't been pregnant. In theory. Of course, some won't have read anything about it, but neither have some girls. It's and even playing field
