It seems that after my second trip, that was the most incredible and life changing trip, I have a hard time reaching that point again. I've taken 2 hits of liquid, two different times afterward and haven't gotten anywhere close. Could it be that my mind has blocked out the ability to trip that hard? That it's put that one experience on a stool that can't be touched by any other trip? Please help me out with some advice, thank you.
^ That and increase dose. With liquid in particular, your hits can can be a significantly different amount of LSD with each drop.
Its an interesting question. Some trips are really unique and once you had the experience it can be difficult to get into that space again. But while you may never get to that point again, you may get to another point that can be just as incredible and life changing as your other trip. A lot of factors determine how your trip goes, it is not just dose and setting alone. It can be determined by where you are in your life, how your psyche is at the moment, what time of year it is, astrology, your love life, your home life, what other substances you use, everything plays a part. Like for me about 1 out of every 5 trips is really a life changing experience. I will have a couple trips in a row that are your normal psychedelic experience, and then 1 that will take me to that spiritual realm where the secrets of life are revealed. You go along learning, so if a lesson is done you move onto the new one. My first trip was like no other, the most physically euphoric ecstatic connected state possible. I have yet to reach that kind of feeling in my body again. But I have trips where my body was left behind, and my soul/spirit was in ecstatic luminous connection with the cosmos. It wasn't the same state, but it was a different even higher state. So don't be attached to that whatever state you were in. Try again and let yourself go even higher. And take a big enough dose so that get where you want to go. Usually mental/physical preparation will help get to where you want to go. My best trips have always been when I said like a week before, "okay in a week I am going to do 5 grams mushrooms and sit in my closet with the lights off, and I am going to have some kind of uplifting experience." So in that period your getting mind right, taking care of your body, not drinking or doing other drugs. And you giving the universe time to prepare itself for you. Ask the cosmos in this time, "show me what I need to see, show me the light!"
I couldn't have said that more beautifully myself. Thank you. I know that it's not my tolerance, I've been trying for weeks. May need to meditate on it and clear my mind instead of going into the trip with a preconceived notion.
Your trying too hard. If you go into it with the intent of "Chasing the Dragon" you'll never get there. Such experiences are not something that can just be dialed in and pulled up at a whim. Increasing dose, meditating, setting/set all are important factors, but still can't guarantee getting to the same point again. Don't cheat yourself out of the value of each psychedelic experience by trying recreate the past, it ain't gonna happen. Learn that each experience is unique and valuable in and of itself. "Don't surround yourself with yourself, move on back two squares"
If you are trying that much, that often--take a break! You are likely missing out on the journey in pursuit of a certain destination.
if you wanna have a very intense or life changing trip you should only have taken LSD once in those 2 months. so for it to be a reoccurring issue kinda proves that you've been dosing too often.
